I've started the current and previous league with this build, and then I pretty much just went with I found. I played caster until I was able to get a melee splash for the SRS, and then just kept on going. Going for some Elreon Rings and a tabula sounds like an easy way to level, if you get a level 2 empower at lvl 10 (I think that's the lvl req) that'll help you as well.

You can use SRS right from the start at lvl 4 ...it's so good you can use it in 3-4l setup all the way to starting maps...

Right now I'm in act 1 merciless and almost level 60 ...and I use SRS as a 3l setup in a Reverberation Unique Wand !!! :)

Very nice! That is way faster than what pathfinder BV could do last league, pretty impressive.

It seems more focused on defense but I wonder what kind of damage this setup can put out.

Unfortunately, this is not causal and/or new player friendly build ... In order for it to be worth playing you need 25EX gear at a start (current prices)

If you want a 6l shavs, a United In Dream saber, a Presence Of Chayula amulet and a Shavs Revelation ring then yea, 25 ex.

But you can make do with a 5l Lorica, a Severed In Sleep sabre, an Eye Of Chayula Amulet and regular unset rings for little more than 2 ex.


However the build would certainly not perform as great as, say, a cyclone or a flameblast or an ED or even a regular Summon Spectre necromancer build for that same amount of currency.

Exactly what i wanted to say, its not for casuals or new players.

This is very powerful build (im currently leveling it, lv80). But it is powerfull only with proper items. I killed normal atziri in a matter of 1-2 seconds between phases with lv 18 SRS gem and melee splash. Will be funny to see what will happen then i put 21 SRS + lv4 empower :)

But I would never do such a build unless Im sure I can pull all this expensive gear.

The only expensive item you need to make this build good is the Shavronne's Wrappings, and that one you can get for about 5 ex now in softcore Breach. You don't even need to have it 6L to have a good build, a 5L will do the job.

The United in Dream, The Presence (neither which even existed in the previous league), and the shav's revelation are awesome items, I agree, yet it is possible to do almost all content in the game without them. Just get a regular Eye of Chayula and the Ephemeral Edge sword and you'll be good to go. After all, this build has been my league starter for the past 2 leagues.

There's a difference between min-maxing a build, and what's actually required to have a good one that can do most content.

All you need to get it working is a Shavs. Even a Lorica should work. Severed in Sleep is up for 30c right now and that will do just fine damage-wise for the most content. Get a Valyrium until you save up for a chayula. 20/20 SRS is 3c right now. Rest of the upgrades will get pretty expensive but they are all for upping the survivability.

I recently upgraded my gears and now I am hitting 9.3k ES with Prism:


Once I upgrade gloves and helm I should be able to hit around 9.6k ES. I'm starting to think maybe I don't really need to drop Prism after all.

Edit: Just got another stone golem base hubris and threw some deafenings in. Got on the 4th roll. Should do it for now. I can replace Conqueror's Efficiency with a minion + es jewel until I get the rest of the needed gears to take off Prism.
