This makes no sense. Maybe someone should ask the Dev that designed the skill for the damage formula? That could shed some light on the matter

I ran some tests with RF totems before the change to minion targeting.
1) a totem that uses RF will lose its life as it burns enemies, it doesnt die though because the burning stops at 1 hp and then it just sits there and looks pretty. 2) fire resistant mobs take a long time to kill with it, but i noticed no increase in dps from fire pen 3) burning + nodes/items also increases the self burning dps on the totem itself, and since it does double the damage to itself as it does to mobs, its actually decreasing the maximum amount of damage which that totem will do 4) inner force increases self burning but not the burning applied to others(read it in a forum post by a dev). im unsure if inner force even applies to totems. IMO there is no reason to run this build. Virtually any other skill would be better in virtually every way. For years i searched for deep truths. A thousand revelations. At the very edge...the ability to think itself dissolves away.Thinking in human language is the problem. Any separation from 'the whole truth' is incomplete.My incomplete concepts may add to your 'whole truth', accept it or think about it

" You should check better because Flammability more than double the damage. Fast casting increase the dps by a lot too. Also it's a fun build not a build to roll everything like EK/LA or freezing pulse. When i encounter a wall in my progression i'll share it. For now i'm fine.
