I had two questions:
- is it possible to do this build with Shadow?
- is it possible to run this build with a Solaris Lorica at first? (Shav is too expansive for me atm)

You can probably do this as shadow (trickster) but in my opinion occultist is better for the low life version.

Solaris Lorica is a really bad armor, I would not recommend it. It's a noob trap to put it bluntly. Trying to get a 5L lorica is a waste of currency. Shavs is cheaper than ever right now, so it's something to work towards even if you're not very rich. They go for 2.5ex in perandus softcore, that's quite achievable just from currency/6s drops you get while mapping.

Until you can afford a Shavs I would suggest playing hybrid life/es or CI, I switched at level 84 if i remember correctly. You get a lot of damage and survivability by going low life but you don't really need that in lower maps anyway.

Thanks for the build, but some gear questions came up.
What about Lioneyes Paws for stun immunity?
Would give needed Str and free up the amulet, but make us loose ES.
What about Prism Guardian for another aura?

You could run Prism guardian with Arctic Armour, Discipline and Grace. Then you could even run a lvl 20 clarity on life as well if you can spare a gem slot. The problems I see here are in the item itself. You would give up 2k+ ES in favor of 2.5k evasion. I personally would value the ES more because between flasks and curses the chance of an enemy hitting you is pretty low as it is.

I am currently testing rathpith globe instead of a rare shield and i'm thinking that it might be better unless the rare also has a good spell damage roll (which makes it expensive as hell). With rumi's up you get upwards of 40% spell block which is pretty nice.

Lioneye's paws is the same thing, you lose a shit ton of ES and resistances. To compensate the stats from the boots with an amulet that also has +1 curse will cost you upwards of 50ex.

Alright, I thought about testing Rathpith Globe also. Currently level 77, roughly 12k DoT-DPS and 7.5k ES.

lvl 87, 9.2k ES, similar tree, very fun playstile and pretty overpowered imo :P.

did like 5 atziri runs and it was easier than with any build i have played with, mapping is also very nice.

BTW, how many DPS do u have?

im currently at 23k chaos dmg per sec, but that doesnt take into account your poison damage from the consuming dark so, i dont know how to calculate it properly

I'm level 97 now, my tooltip DoT dps is 40.5k (44k with rathpith globe) with a level 4 empower. The calculation for the poison damage is explained in the mechanics section. For me poison currently adds around 30k dps per stack before vulnerability/wither/profane bloom/void beacon.

I rolled these colors on my shavs and I was trying to think of what gems I would use with it. My initial idea was to use:

ED - Controlled Destruction - Poison - Pierce - Void Manip - Rapid Decay


And NOT use a Consuming Dark since my ED will be using the poison gem and instead using a really nice wand with high spell damage and cast speed/proj speed. However, I'm not sure if this idea will work since I'm not sure the poison will spread via Contagion since poison is not linked to it.

Maybe a Bino's dagger will work. I'm only level 49 so I'll need to level up some more to test these ideas but I was curious about your thoughts on my gems setup. Keep in mind I do have a level 3 empower, which I would like to use, but I have been unable to roll the needed colors yet 3g2b1r.
