[2.3] CoC Cyclone Discharge Trickster! HC/Level 100 Viable!

Hello,
Can anyone tell me if the spell lightning damage of this dagger is detrimental to this build?

I read that we only have one piece with cold damage and don't know if the spell damage in the dagger is bad.

Edit: i have the cold damage in gloves

Greetings and thank you

8 IAS is definitely better since there are no solid options to invest your points past lvl 94-95 (all available IAS and Crit Mult nodes already taken, and Crit Chance doesn't make much sense)

Cyclone is not a spell, so it's fine.

why not link the cwdt/BV with powercharge on crit? or does voll's protector override the powercharge on crit mechanic?

Taken from the very 1st page just to clear things up

We also use elemental equilibrium so that mobs we hit have -50% Lightning and Fore resistances and +25% cold resistance. This is obtained by having cold damage on either your weapon or jewelery while having NO fire damage or lightning damage on any gear. Your cyclone should simply say that it deals a small amount of physical damage and cold damage. just saying.....

I'd say not consume. Damage output is already insane, the only problem is charge generation on bosses. It is usually compensated by using BV instead of Inc AOE, can be additionaly compensated by this enchantment.

Hello, been following this guide quite closely, but did a little diversion. I'm not sure if that caused it but I have a problem leeching on single target, especially Haast, Dominus lightning ghosts and Chateau boss. Would really appreciate it if one of you experienced CoC Discharge players could point me in the right direction in terms of gear/passive choices because dying to Haast almost every time I encounter him is getting kinda annoying. Also, yeah, I know the ES on my gear sucks, but I'm saving up for it, sitting at 9400 ES currently which should be enough for now.

I'm playing on Prophecy, character name is CoCLagSpike.
Thanks in advance!

Since you only hit one target, you won't generate charges fast enough, and you'll always discharge at 2, at best 3 charges. This means poor damage output and, as a result, poor leech. To deal with this, you need to use Blade Vortex instead of Increased AOE, which will help generate more charges per fixed amount of time.

I thought about doing exactly that, but I see the Voll's Protector that's linked both in Perandus and Prophecy doesn't have Blade Vortex socketed and it says that if you have good gear you can drop BV and use Increased AoE. My gear is pretty good, but I'm not sure if I should drop some dagger crit notes for IAS nodes, I'm not sure what stat is the best for that. I guess I could put in Blade Vortex but the problem is 3 green sockets and that clearing maps becomes a lot slower because of missing AoE. Some people seem to be just fine without Blade Vortex and I don't know how they achieve that, there must be another workaround.

Either way, thanks for the advice, I'll consider putting in Blade Vortex and see how that works out.
