not sure how much mana you left unreserved, but every char have [1.75 of his mana regen by default](http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Mana), also notice that it scale with int...

but that is really low mana regen, lets say you have only (that is really not alot) 100 mana unreserved, that is still will take 9 sec to fully regen, so not sure why its bothering you so much?

also the mana from flask is much higher than that

Yeah, those are a common problem for many builds, especially here where we can't use CWDT-IC. Part of the reason I specced crit with Ice Nova for freeze. I don't look, and just jump in the middle of packs only to regret lol. You could also try a Pyre ring or something.

Edit: Or just be careful and take out only a few at a time.

as for self posion, it shouldnt work, since you cant self freeze etc... but will be funny if it did :)
