I swaped temporary chains with warlords mark, thanks to that i got now all the time endurance charges. I dont need to spam enduring cry. If i will get alot of mana i will use temporary chains on blasphemy |

" So, I suppose I should add some content in the main post about this. The curse is preference. You can choose damage, utility, or defense. I will lay out a few options and why you may do them. Defense: Temporal Chains, the slow stacks with the chill from herald of thunder. This is especially good when you have limited mitigation as it greatly reduces incoming damage. Enfeeble, Enfeeble is worth while once you have 2-3k evasion as you benefit wholly from this curse. Offense: Flammability, more ignite chance, ignite duration, and fire resistance removal. Use this for more damage and longer burns. Elemental Weakness, this will lower resistance for your herald of thunder procs allowing you to more easily kill whites with just the herald of thunder. Utility: Warlord's Mark, Automated endurance charge generation, some stun chance, and leech. Great utility curse that will make game play smoother not requiring constant enduring cry. Poacher's Mark, You need a bit of extra dexterity for this, but the frenzy charge generation and additional flask charges is very worth while. So the curse is a way to tailor the build to the content you are doing and to your preference. Honestly getting a second curse from a corrupt amulet, doedre's damning, etc might be worth the investment if you really like what two curses provide. I will work on updating the main post to reflect what I've learned from the questions you all have had. Thanks for the questions and input, keep it coming. |

I bought this the other day since I've never had one and thought it would be cool to try. I changed my build around to account for it. I've added a section in the main post where you can read more about it. Also a note on elemental reflect. I hit elemental reflect with a 10 stack in a -9 max resist map and didn't one shot myself. So with the rise of the phoenix you should be pretty safe. |

So.. am I missing something because I cant see what points you used in Elementalist

Hey there! Really enjoying the build and just got to my ascendancy. I'm wondering why you went for the chaos golem instead of the flame golem with picking Liege of the Primordial.
As I understand we're trading the 6% physical reduction for 40% increased fire damage from the golem... will physical damage become that much of an issue later on that it's worth giving it up? Thank you in advance for any information provided, not criticizing or anything, would just like to know your own reasoning :) |

" I'll start by saying, my current setup has a flame golem and liege. However, when your gear sucks and your pushing content on a budget the physical mitigation from the golem is worth a lot more. You also one shot everything early on, so having more damage is pointless. Where I'm at now pushing red maps, my gear is good enough that I can make do without the extra physical mitigation and I can use the extra damage. Even now in red maps, I'm only utilizing the extra damage when I run an enfeeble or + fire resistance map. I'm currently considering dropping the golem all together and doing pendulum of destruction. Just to have a few more gem slots available and to not worry about recasting the golem. Last edited by nosrek_scirocco#1209 on Mar 21, 2016, 2:52:26 PM

Thoughts on my build so far? I am level 72, tooltip shows around 2.4k damage, maxed Elemental reses, and 54% chaos res without the chaos res skill tree nodes.

" What I would recommend now that you've broke level 70 is to farm dried lake or aqueducts in act 4 merciless until you have 15-20 chaos. Once you've got that hit up poe.trade and look to upgrade gloves, boots, rings, and then belt. You will want to shoot for about 60 life on each piece and on boots try for 20+ movement speed. You've got some good pieces there, Rathpith and that amulet are great finds in particular. Other than getting some more life, your setup is looking pretty good. |

I just recently came back to the game; I've played past 70 before, but not very far. I ran a couple characters up into the 20's in Perandus before I started this build but it quickly became my favorite in the league.
I'm currently 49 and have my first Ascendancy, playing with all self-found gear. I'm absolutely wrecking house, killing as fast as I can run through a zone. I've never felt so OP! Two questions: 1) I'm still using Firestorm, but I've been leveling Flameblast in a spare socket. When is the appropriate time to switch, and what are the advantages of Flameblast over Firestorm? 2) Will this build continue feeling crazy OP through Merciless? I assume I'll slow down at some point and need to actually get some decent gear. What should my first purchases be? Thanks a million for this thread, I'm having an absolute blast with the build! |
