[2.2] Ice Trapper [HC][SC] Atziri viable

Hey, is there a reason you take the Melding and Thick Skin wheels? It seems terribly inefficient; swapping your four Melding nodes for the Rangers' Evasion and Life nodes gives you more HP and 44% EV, while swapping your six Thick Skin nodes for the Templar's Discipline life nodes gives you more HP, more spell damage, more stats, more cast speed, and access to Amplify in trade for 8% Ele Status Avoid.

I dont want to sound rude, but there's no reason to use this tree instead of pohx's.

Your right, I've updated the finale passive skill tree to the more eff. one.

Hey, Can you tell is taryn's better or +1 to skills +2 to cold skills staff better to use for ice trap?

Also what to use for movement, is legs only option? not lightning warp, flame dash or etc?

If you use a 6L Staff, it depends on the stats but I would currently say 2x 1h weapons with spell & cold dmg are even better.

I currently swap vaal lightning trap for flame dash on labs and if i need it.

Did atziri at lvl 82, no jewel Sockets just normal passives. I ripped once against the titty bitch because i got insta rained AS soon as i moved. Overall the Trio is pretty easy if you insablast her, atziri herself is no prob since you can just kill w/e you want in the mirror Phase. Duo vaal is easy if you wait till they spawn next to each other. Overall easy atziri tbh, never did her before

Very nice guide, but how to level up to and including Cruel Izaro kill for the gamechanger ascendancy skill which triggers nearby traps?
I tried switching to the main abilities in normal and it just doesn't work because my defensive is way too low. In your leveling skill tree you skip acrobatics until later and overall there just isn't enough high-evasion gear with enough sockets. As a league starter I mean. So while the damage is already quite nice against groups, it pretty much sucks against bosses (way too difficult to make everything trigger).
How did you level until after cruel Izaro kill?

Well the build kinda starts if you can buy cluster trap at act 4 in normal.
I killed izaro in normal after I've done the first act in cruel.
Your main 4L should be ice trap, cluster trap, ele focus, cont destruction.
You also dont need the acrobatics and other Eva stuff because your HP should be really nice, depending on your gear with +HP. Eva is also not worth to pick this early because it dosn't benefit you anything until you get gear or flasks to push your Eva to +50% evading dmg.
You can use any gear with Res and HP at this point... dont waste time and money on Eva gear this early.
You dont need to trigger everything... main focus is: first vaal lightning trap (if you have one, to get more dmg) and frost bomb, to lower the cold res of the boss. you can stack frost bomb traps on the boss and as soon as they trigger (the balls starting to show up) you can throw ice traps at him.
If you not playing HC its also usefull to swap Enfeeble for Frostbite + Herald of Ice and dissable Clarity. I used 1x mana flask until i got to saryn in merc.

If thats not working for you, consider lvling for more passive points and better gear.

Thanks for the concise reply. Will have to trade vaal lightning trap then. Also I used t&m damage + cold damage as supports, will change to the ones you mentioned (no more crits/freeze then, though).
