[2.2] Occultist (Contagion + Essence Drain) Beginner starting build

im rocking a CI varian of the build, so far i havent had any troubles, (some not so good gear still), but then again i havent passed the lvl 9 maps yet, so i cant really assure its end game viable, but i like it how it is now,i have 8.5k es right now and with some upgrades it should pass 10k easy, as for the passive tree you guys can check it on my character page and give sugestions if you want.

"Yes, it is and it's awesome. I have an ed / cont Scion in Standard, it was my main char in Talisman league and always played EB / MOM / ZO. You can do maps of all tiers including T15 with relative ease. I pushed her to lvl 95 in Talisman quite easily. In this league, with the new blasphemy headpiece (heretic's veil), you can run triple curse + AA on mana with the right passives, still having zero problems with all map mods except blood magic and curse immunity. I've not tried it after Ascendancy because of the multiple ED bugs, and because I'm playing in Perandus league with another Scion ATM. :D I prefer Scion (Berserker or Deadeye + Occultist, 10% more damage or pierce + pseudo far-shot, nice ES bonus, chaos resistance lowering, nice combat boost to damage) for the flexibility of the tree and gameplay options. With the right gear you can have about 5k HP, MOM, some nice evasion from gear and tree, AA, not to mention the monstruous survivability boost you get from Enfeeble, Temporal Chains and Fortify (on Whirling blades). Your EHP will be huge, you will have an easy time especially if you have the right flasks for mapping (Rumi / ToH / 2x Life or 1 Life + 1 Evasion / Quicksilver). Before the expansion came out, on my ED Scion I had about 40k dot damage (without the +1 corruption on chest) and 5k life. All should be a lot better with the Ascendant. I'm actually having fun with a scion and a drillneck+deadeye+pierce gem. Having 100% pierce and get 100% damage projectile because of drillneck isn't really bad at all.
I've actually around 8000ehp at 70, with an hybrid build, but I'm tempted to try to swap to life+eva and MoM and chuck in an extra curse, maybe using a carcass jack to spread the disease. "You still have ED at level 18, and on a 4-link. Essence drain scales a lot with skill gem level, and in a 5 or 6 link scenario. First steps you should take are leveling the gems and trying to get at least a 5-link for ED on your body armour. |

Anybody else got the feeling that when enemies explode from Profane Bloom they don't propagate Contagion/ED?
