[2.3.0] Detonate Dead Elemental Proliferation Trap, Massive damage 2mil+

With my GG standard gear made up to 400% crit multy and 30% crit chance but still it didn't meet the expectations. I ran crematorium and i wasn't able to one shot some rares and crema boss took 2 sets of traps while she was shocked. So in 6man party it would just suck. Burn even with the cap will still outclass in damage the crit version of DD build.

Well what you are doing is kind of different from my build idea. Cause i see you rely on mana or Vaal clarity while i'm 100% on energy shield from EB. What i would improve is Energy shield on your gear (800es will feed your EB just fine; 1,2kES you can start using MoM with EB). Also you have no quality on temporal chains and blasphemy yet in the 4 link, once you get the quality you gonna see massive difference i can guarantee that.

5l Carcass always > 6l CoD. carcass OP
Holy fire doesn't double dip. In fact it's only 70% burn damage which you can compare to 35% fire damage (roughly it's more like 25-30) nonetheless 35% per 3 skill nodes is not enough skill effiecient to me. Explosive impact would be awesome but again it's 5 points so there is this question: you can grab all these damage nodes and sacrifice curse nodes in scion area or you grab the curse nodes since they triple dip (initial hit, defense, burn damage). I guess both options are very viable so you can decide which one will suit you better in end game.



Ok so I switched it up a little.

Running 5L carcass, with vaal clarity in extra spot. (just in case)
5L = Trap - DD - Elemental prolif - Fire pen - Trap and mine damage.

I added chaos golem to my cwdt. (where I previously had vaal clarity due to lack of other spots)


Switching CoD to Carcass made a huge difference in both damage and mana sustain. I hardly ever use Vaal clarity anymore, so I might exchange it. Just need a little more testing.


Aside from the CoD to Carcass Jack I also made a few other changes to my gear.
In order to cap my resists, and also get some extra quality on my Elemental Weakness and Temporal Chains, I felt that this was necessary.

+1 to level on gems, means that I get another 8% quality from the enhance, totalling 16% added quality to the temp chains and elemental weakness. Still need to work on them and Blasphemy, but this is a temporary solution. It means that I lose some HP and ES, but it also helps me get my resists up.

A big change. I have had the belt for a while, but I couldn't use it due to lack of STR on my skill gems. I added one passive point to +30 STR, but in exchange for that passive point, I salvage the lost HP and ES from the Helm.
And again; this helps me keep my resists capped.

I guess I will have to try replacing the fire pen with IAE, but I will wait until I have enough Chroms, so I don't fuck it all up, lol.

I tried Atziri earlier, and the clear up to atziri was really easy. The smaller bosses die so fast. The Vaal Constructs took literally 5 seconds to die. Atziri was really hard though, and I didn't manage to take her this time. But I will try again once my character progresses.

Holy shit. Those 5% made a significant change to my ignite proccs. I feel like I procc 4/5 throws now.

Also, replacing Fire Pen with IAE was far stronger than I expected it to be.

It's always fun when you start a new build, and you see it slowly evolving into what you expect it to be.

whatcha think bout chaos conversion for uber runs? i just tried this with low lvl gems on my lvl 92 poisonstorm trapper and i literally faceroll normal atziri. But gems lvl is rly important. ill try to level them up and then Ill submit the result.

I always thought that poison mainly benefits from multiple stacks and cause DD is not like firestorm. It would not benefit from poison as much. Also burn has posibility of multiplying dmg by negative resists which i abuse a lot. but i see your point for Uber.. Looking forward to see your results with uber.

Btw it might be really good since DD scales insanely well with area level. I don't even use elemental weakness for t13+ cause it already oneshots everything in 6man party.

News: just killed twinned ambrius with this character (0 armour, no Coil, no Taste of hate just those OP curses :D), was one shotting them between phases :D, solo and enfeeble instead of ele. weakness then i sold 5 left over ports :-)

What lvl are you and can this char level past 90?

With 4k life and literally no other defences doesn't seem like it is possible, even if you oneshot stuff.

poisonstorm trapper also doesnt have any kind of defence. All he got is like temp chains and arctic armour(mainly). But ye, I'm now leveling char with this build, and I think that I'll grab divinarius and doryani's catalist instead of 2 doryani's just incase of whirling blades. Also i think that Desecrate 20q with spell echo or faster casting is better to use then multiple traps.

Nicely done but your build is completely something different. It's more like garmon's only poison instead of burn (Garmon123's DD back in 1.3).
Taking divinarius instead of doryani just for the whirling blades seems like a really bad decicion (cause divinarius's spell damage and spell crit doesn't aply to DD - DD is not a spell) if you want to use something else then lightning warp then i would advice leap slam.

About spell echo it's just personal preference that i don't like to be fixed in place during casting (quite long with echo). On the other hand traps share same cooldown as desecrate and don't fix you in place and with multitraps you even spawn more corpses for boss fights like atziri..

And i don't use AA, cause i don't have mana to run it and enfeeble >> AA

You would be very supriced.. I'm already lvl 94 almost 95. From lvl 90 i died only once on bearers.
I Don't have 4k life. I have 4,4k and MoM (transfer 30% of all damage to mana in this case es) with 1,6k es --> i have about 6k effective life.

Right now i'm joining t14 rotations and i usually swap curses to the party needs.
For example:
If in party is voltaxic (fu***d up, unbalanced build by GGG) if he's good I use assassin mark+chains+poacher mark -> poacher with curse nodes gives him Resolute technique and assassin mark insane crit = together like 3times damage multiplier - voltaxic already clear everything in lvl 80 full party so he basicly becomes a god (not joking here, if he's good)

No voltaxic in party, then i run Ele. weakness+Chains+Enfeeble. Enfeeble with curse nodes is like 50% less damage and chains with enhance lvl 4 everything almost stops.

Also even without flammability i still oneshot everything in full party t14.

I'm gonna try to record some of the t14 rotation but it might be a lower quality..
