Attempting low life would involve drastic changes; I would need some way of maintaining the massive mana cost (many hundreds/second). Clarity and discipline become mandatory and I may have to drop existing auras. Throw in Shavs and suddenly the build costs a small fortune.

You'll stretch yourself even thinner, it's already pretty squishy as is. Too much trouble for 30% more damage (and possibly 100% increased from Redbeak, although I much prefer a crit dagger).

Interesting thought experiment, but I don't think mines and low life work well together. If mines were able to leech, it might be a different story. I'd love to see you prove me wrong though, the damage would be amazing for sure.
I feel like I'm totally blanking here, but how are you generating power charges with this gear and skill gem setup?

There are two sources of power charge generation:
-Assassin's Unstable Infusion for 10% on non-crits
-Blast Cascade on the passives tree for 8% on mine detonation targeting enemy.

Sounds low, but you'll be surprised how quickly the charges are generated.

Challenge accepted. I ended up proving myself wrong.
I may have over exaggerated the challenges.

Turned out I didn't need anywhere near as much mana regen as I thought; 100/sec on 400+ unreserved is enough for most packs, with bosses it's a bit trickier and may require a mana flask.

I made a trade off, sacrificed some crit chance nodes in favour of raw damage nodes to make the most of Pain Attunement. I also dropped the Revenge of the Haunted life/EV cluster so I could grab more ES and ended up with 2k more EHP.

I also added an extra reservation; Herald of Thunder, dropped Grace for Discipline but now I have no evasion. However I needed to use a lv2 Enlighten.

The build didn't get that much more expensive actually; there isn't as big a different between 6L EV/ES Atziri's Splendour and a 6L Shav's in cost. All my other gears for both variants were self found or bought for a few chaos orbs each.


End result: +2k EHP, +7k mine damage -> 1.6x better damage per cast.
I've added a LL section in the guide. As much as I would like to record new footage the game seems to be laggier for me these days.
