The Exiled Sale Recipe Book (spoilers)
Nice find, Phowl!
I tried adding a 20% unique and got the already discovered 5 orbs of chance :\ And as it is such so also as such is it unto you

Yes, I was just playing around and actually going to get that 5 orbs of chance and thought what the heck let me try making everything max quality. Hmm... I do wonder what would happen if you did 3 armors and 3 weapons...going to have to save to try that. Trading 4 armors for 5 orbs of chance vs. 3 armors and excluding the unique = win.

Makes Onyx Amulet (gives plus to all attributes)
1x red, 1x blue and 1x green gem and 1x any amulet/necklace Get higher + to your attributes on onyx amulet with better gems (ie +20 to all attributes and more if you use support gems instead of just gems) |

" Has anyone tried either of these with unidentified items? Edit: Lol, so.. I took the Alchemy Recipe above and used 20% Unidentified items.. it yielded 2 Orbs of Alchemy. Someone needs to do the same with the Orb of Chance recipe using unidentified items to see if maybe we get 10 Orbs of Chance or something else perhaps. "Yes, unidentifieds always double the reward, if you can find 2 matching names that are unidentified, you'll get 2 alchemys. Good luck with that. IGN: TheHammer Last edited by Milhausen#1019 on Mar 25, 2012, 8:47:32 PM

"Good luck indeed. How can you possibly get two matching names when the names are hidden until the item is identified? I'm not sure if you're joking, or delusional, or if this is actually possible. And while it does seem to hold true, for now at least, I wouldn't just assume that unidentified versions of recipes will always yield double the reward. We never know until someone actually checks. "Wrong, changing the gems you decide to vendor in the recipe is what changes the base amount of +attributes you get, unless higher quality also helps. Say I have fireball, rain of arrows, and cold snap gem. Changing rain for split arrows or another gem of rain will give me different results. The items level (/itemlevel) is based off the amulet itself. Balvuwwa - Ranger: Default

" This has been fixed in 0.9.7. You can no longer guess an uni-id item's information (mods/mods type/name) through the recipe. This means u cannot complete rare-name recipe with un-id'ed rare anymore Unviable build tester.

"Prove it. =D All jokes aside, the mods are still there, so I wouldn't see why the name wouldn't be. Well, the amount of mods are still there, as an un-IDed 6 modded item will still give you a orb of augmentation before IDing it (EDIT: it won't, Progammer is correct). OK, well I haven't for sure tested that in 0.9.7. so I very well could be wrong. But calling it "fixed" is horribly wrong, it's unidentified, not unrolled. It should have set features that just get revealed when IDing, therefore should have a name, mods, etc. I would say they broke it. " Nope I used basic gems and tested it before posting. If they had a higher % yes it changed but also supports are usually higher level so maybe that's why. Better necklaces also upped your chance of higher attributes so I stand by what I said :) |
