DPS 150-600K About how DPS works with Blade Vortex from Syclic " Syclic wrote: The tooltip DPS on blade vortex is a huge chunk of misinformation. The tooltip DPS it shows assumes that you are hitting once with each blade and constantly casting. To get your actual DPS you need to multiply your DPS by your Cast Time on the tooltip, then multiply by 2. This is because regardless of any factors each blade deals it's damage twice a second. So if you have 10k tooltip with 0.15 cast speed you are actually doing 3k dps per blade out and 150k if 50 are out. My Base Conc DPS w/ lvl 18 gem 16,419 x 2 x .17 cast time x 50 blades = 279,123 DPS There are two builds one with power charge one without The with power charge is 15% more DPS but about 200 less life and less evasion and wears a volls protector The other uses a carcass jack (or tabula rasa/rare if you're frugal) Carcass jack spec most tank. Gear Spoiler Word about gear -Life everywhere possible -Tabula Rasa works fine just no power charges so leave them off tree -Crit rings and ammy - if you cant afford crit implicit look up just resits, and life jewelry cheap -Double life belt -Ideally you want evasion gloves and helm to get high evasion. -Two cheap Divinarius daggers are fine or one and Cybils Paw for super hard content END game gear Gem Setup Spoiler Main spell CWDT and Vaal grace or haste Abyssal Cry Why Abyssal Cry From Sinalot: " Specifically, I have found that with my shit ass gear there is one spell gem that you don't use that makes everything simply melt for me when OP blade vortex gives me a moments chance. That gem is abyssal cry. I currently have it set up on one of my weapons with increased area of effect and blood magic. I am thinking nothing could stop it. In a nutshell, I vortex blades in, pop abyssal cry and refresh blade vortex. Usually everything dies before I even refresh due to the chaos damage increases we both have in our builds. Which is fine, as I am basically refreshing for my next pack encounter. Movement + fortify Aura's (if you are not rich skip enlighten but u wont be able to run Herald of Ash unless you take Charisma) Aura 2 and vaal skellies Then you can have a Golem here which is some DPS. Warlords Mark Curse alternative w/o Blasphemy and expensive Enlightens and you still want to run HoA Actually you can run 3 aura now HoA HoI and Hatred. But this has issues. Spam main spell while in the pack so you have blades for next pack. You can Hit Abyssal Cry at the same time you're holding down Blade Vortex button and watch mobs explode. It's a sight to see. Move fast and keep your blades up pack to pack. On bosses. Charge up to at least 40 before encounter and pop you life flask to regain life you just spent. Whirl Blade into him and keep spamming all the way up to 50 until dead Hybrid Option Best of both worlds awesome AOE mapper with BladeFall and devastating boss killer with Blade Vortex. Spoiler Start with a Platinum Kris because it has highest 80% global crit implicit alt it until you get one or two of 5 things Tier 1. This thing reminds me of a big circular saw. I see chips flying off everything I get near, and the extra gore from carcass jack is a sight to behold when you 'blade' into a pack of monsters with that big buzz saw going flat out.. :) Only a level 13 vortex, I can imagine what a lvl 20 will be like though...wow! Mana is a problem, I can't run three aura's so I am currently not using clarity, just hatred and herald of ice. Also, being a lvl 86 I couldn't get all the required nodes on the tree. I've been running something similar, but looking to alter my build a bit, and might use this template. However, I did find there are a few places you can improve the tree. You can move a few points around to get 2% more life, 20 life on kill, and 40% mana regen, while only sacrificing 20 dexterity.
