[2.0] Incinerate Totems - IW/RF - 20k TT - 275k effective DPS on 1 EX Budget - Atziri Viable
" How is your damage so low? At lvl 78 i had at least 13k tooltip dmg with RF. If you want to play MF you are probably better off playing flame totem. Since you want a MF chest you won't have easy access to a 6L, and you probably want to use the IIR as a support as well. So you are probably better of playing flame totem as you don't 'waste' a gem slot on spell totem. |

This build is great. I tried it in IC002 and got to 60 in three days(I'm back from beta). I didn't actually realize I skipped the two totem skill point for about 20 levels and was fine. I'm gonna try again in the "DarkShrine" with it. I died in a t6 map to a chaos guy coming out of smoke with a zeal buff up and I had -40 chaos resists. I know what to do now. I didn't use the tabula and made it to 77 or 78 and had the 3 easiest achieves left.
Dexterity was always an issue with the build so if you don't care don't level your gems to high early. 2 Mirror Drops and 75 Apothecary Drops in 3.21
4 Mirrors in 3.22 |

I have played a number of different totem builds, but never RF.
I assume this build gets extra OP with witch halloween hat? Going to try for 5 week league. |

Hey m8, I find that the life/mana regen in the Templar area is not needed. You can use those passives to spec into more jewel sockets.
75% Base + 8% Rise of the Phoenix + 1% tree + 4% Purity = 88%. You only need 2% life regen to negate the burn from RF. Also, with such high life regen, a ruby flask will bring you next to no benefit regen-wise. It will help a lot with Atziri though but im talking about everyday mapping. So to make that flask more useful, you can spec out of some life regen nodes and use those points elsewhere. Last edited by gtrans#4236 on Nov 3, 2015, 12:41:55 PM

Another thing, when you reach the Witch area, those cast speed nodes are shit. You effectively gain 6.3% cast speed for 3 passives because of spell totem's "less" penalty.
On the other hand, if you take 10% spell damage, you are gaining 48% spell damage for 3 points with RF's "more" modifier. 6% cast speed is equals to 1.5 points (because I consider anything lower than 4% cast speed per point to be SHIT). 50% spell damage equals to 5 points. To sum it up, you could double your losses if you go cast speed OR you could double your gains if you go spell damage. Last edited by gtrans#4236 on Nov 3, 2015, 2:29:53 PM

Sigh, I didn't know ES burn and Life burn stacked. Why the fuck would Rise of the Phoenix give us ES then.
Now I need MORE REGEN! Last edited by gtrans#4236 on Nov 3, 2015, 3:47:01 PM

I don't think you quite understand how RF works. With 88% fire resistance RF deals damage over your remaining 12% life. 12% * 0.9 means you need 10.8% life regen to counter the degen from RF. Then there is a small increase as well from the ES you have (pro tip: do not add quality to your rise of the phoenix!).
As for the cast speed vs spell dmg, you made some miscalculations as well. Cast speed is a multiplicitive bonus rather than an additive bonus like spell damage. This means you need to include the RF bonus as well. You also forgot spell totem has a less modifier to spell damage. This means it is essentially 10 cast speed vs 33 spell damage. Assuming you have ~170% cast speed 10% means a 6% dmg increase from cast speed. When you have 600 increased damage (you should have more with 800+ strength) an increase of 33% is a 5.5% dps gain. Besides cast nodes being slightly better, the cast speed nodes also reduces the time required for your totems to reach their maximum amount of stages, which is actually a big deal. If you have the option, try to get some cast speed on jewels and jewelry, cast speed is the best stat you can get on those. 1% cast speed is worth about 4% spell damage, that is not including the added bonus of totems reaching max potential faster. Even a slightly higher amount of tooltip damage cannot outweight that. Last edited by Meraxas#4277 on Nov 3, 2015, 4:03:39 PM

" Cool thanks for clarifying that. Also, giving the fact that I started Scion, I have the option to grab Harrier, what would you drop on the tree in order free up 6 points for that? Or I shouldn't bother at all Last edited by gtrans#4236 on Nov 3, 2015, 5:36:07 PM
