Conc effect is not very good for shock nova, it increases damage a bit but you already have more than enough and then it requires you get even closer to mobs.

VS goats and etc you should be making them whiff their first attack or killing them on sight. If there are too many enemies and some get close and stunlock you, that's a problem pretty much every caster has to deal with and the only way is to play in ways that you avoid that. Your DPS is more than enough to 1 shot even high lvl map mobs and whirling blades is easy enough to use against attacks with startup so I can suggest playing preemptively.

Positioning is vital, you should try to avoid letting anything get past the second ring which is easy enough against most mobs since the "wall" they have to pass is the one doing 50% more damage and a tooltip of around 40k translates to a bit over 100k actual DPS once you included curses, penetration, shocking, critting etc.

I would advise life on every single jewel you have and a good shield if you die too much, preferably one with high crit chance, life and ES.

Innervate I wouldn't advise to drop since onslaught's most important benefit is 20% increased movespeed which allows you to clear and dodge faster. It's great both offensively and defensively.

I'm currently experimenting with a different version of sustaining mana which is vaal clarity. If I can get it to work consistently then I'm going to change the build to be a bit tankier.

Hey, thank you for your quick reaction, you're the man !

Yep, to be honest I was hoping to read this kind of answer. Its all about positioning. And that's why I like this build, the gameplay is nervous, brutal and punitive.
I'm not dying this much but as I said, I'm a disgusting newbie in PoE, especially with the end-game.
So I was wondering if there was something crucial I could've missed.

Btw, if you can have a look at my gear (my profile is public, look for the character "Orkhylol") and if you find something that I could improve, just let me know.

Thanks again mate, you're awesome !

Use the blood dance boots to generate frenzy charges, link enduring cry to increased duration and finish by linking fortify to whirling blades. Is your ES about 35% of your HP?

I also noticed you don't have a single instant flask, those are absolutely vital for survival and no character should be without one.

Hey man, running this build at the moment, lvl 60 at the moment. Wondering how I'm meant to run Wrath, Arctic Armor and Herald of Thunder at the same time, while still having innervate with herald of thunder? Build is heaps of fun so far though.

I have forgotten to add that innervate on HoT is an option over AA. You need to choose between them and I'd go with AA.
Nice to see a Shock Nova build.. :)

What about making a Blood Magic Shock Nova Build ?

Found a 6l Staff and search now for ages for a Build to use that staff..

I created just for fun that

Marauder BM build, because the mana issue made me thinking what happens if we drop wrath..
its only 40% dmg ?

And with 6l and less crit from tree base dmg is better or not..

What are you thinking ? Is it possible to deal also good amounts of dmg ?

It's not going to be any good. You don't have cast speed which is what helps roll crits, you don't have a lot of crit chance or power charges and you miss out on tons of crit multi, HoT cursing, etc.

Using a staff alone is subpar, starting as a marauder just makes it horrible.

Update

Recorded 3 new videos in the 1MHC, will add more once I buy a few higher lvl maps.

I have experimented with dropping blood dance, adding call of the brotherhood and switching facebreakers with voidbringers because I simply don't have good enough gear with my limited playtime to balance my resistances with blood dance.

Voidbringers work excellently in lower maps while facebreakers are required in order to destroy high lvl maps.

Ok.. and if I use Bloodmagic gem with that staff and your build without mana skillpoints
and the keystones ? I could spend the free points for dmg and life to compensate my missing crit in my weapon slot.

Thanks for your help btw^^

The mana solving points in my build are 5. You can't make up for hundreds of crit multi and 20%+ chance to crit as well as 20+ cast speed and 110% ES with 5 points and one less gem since you're forced into BM.

If you want to make a marauder caster you typically go spell totems or iron will, unfortunately neither option is good for shock nova because crit builds require cast speed to crit as often as possible and you realistically just can't get anywhere near the crit chance any of the caster classes have.
hey i really like the looks of this build but im wondering what happens when you get into t12+ maps.... as far as i can tell you have no sustain besides pots... im thinkin of making this build but im unsure... for that reason. if you could get back to me soon id apprecaite it! thanks buddy, nice build btw i really like it
