[2.5] Dual Flame Totem Crit version. 263k dps (400k possible) . Uber and Normal Atziri
I played quite a lot on the last days focusing on collecting currency and ended up buying a 6L Infernal Manyle yesterday. As I don't have an Empower yet, I linked it with 3B2R1G, adding a Faster Projectile to the mix. It didn't add much DPS (47k to 49k), but the increase in the reach was really nice, a real quality-of-life-improvement as someone said before.
Not sure if I should go for the Empower (and try to reach higher DPS) or just settle with this gems. How much more DPS I could get with a level 3 empower in a level 20 Flame Totem? |

Krazy_X Level 3 is a downgrade in dps. Only use empower once you vaal it to level 4. Yeah Faster Projectiles is really nice, once you 20 quality your gems and get a 21 Flame Totem your DPS will be very nice :)
Congrats on the 6L! I managed to 5L two so far, maybe ill get lucky next attempt although I kinda want to 6L this perfect one I am wearing xD edit: Actually, over faster projectiles, it may be better I thought you meant over a diff gem as I am playing Inquisitor w.o the Fire Pen. Using this build with a few different nodes on the skill tree as it is painful leveling with the random death taking its toll on me.
Town Stats with a 5 link on Essence character _McFly_ lvl: 92 hp: 4685 es: 5374 dps: 53357.44 From now on every node will boost my dps but there is also room for more ES too. I may not keep this tree, just thought id see how it goes sitting on 10k ehp instead of the 8k I had yesterday. Haven't been able to test the dps/toughness as I keep DCing every minute tonight. Looking at the witch skill tree in the first post, i guess you can save one skill point by changing some roots:
You can take the two inteligence nodes going left and than up from the Mental Rapidity wheel (into Arcane Potency wheel). With this you can drop 3 nodes: inteligence node on the left of Occultist's Dominion, strength node just left of Devotion and inteligence node just above it (goint into Ancestral Bond). This way you drop 2 ints + 1 str for 2 ints and save one point which can be spent somewhere else (like a life or damage node). The drop of one strength node will make a little impact in terms of life, as you will lose 5 flat life. But you can just use the extra point you are getting to take the Might nodable adding up 30 strength, with an actual increase of 20 strength (10 flat life). Those of you asking about LL, I tried it some time ago.
You need 6L Shav for LL and with that you lose 1 level on your Flame Totem and 100% increased crit. To utilize LL you also need to take alot of aura nodes. You also need alot of ES on your gear and ES nodes aswell. You can forget Maligaro's or Facebreakers. I'm at level 86 now (didn't get much game time this week) and just got myself a level 21 Flame Totem. DPS went up to over 56k (was 50k with level 20 FT). I'm siting at over 7.2k ehp with discipline.
I'm doing level 10 maps and I hardly ever die. Just did a rare Malformation with -9 max resists and 90% monsters add damage and walked over it. Did a rare Terrace before that with Temp Chain and some other stuff and had no problems. I'm even doing Elemental Equilibrium by switching Increased Critical for Added Lightning. Elemental Reflex is the only thing I avoid. I'm still considering whether I should go for Empower (level 3, as level 4 are too expensive), as Faster Projectiles are amazing. Will start on red maps soon and will post the results here. |

Made some investments on gear during the weekend. Got a level 3 Empower and 2 rings + amulet with cast speed (7+7+13). Cast speed is a real DPS booster. It's so good that i decided to take the cast speed nodes close to the shadow starting point.
With level 21 FT + level 3 Empower (on a 99% Doryani) i now have 82,730 DPS at my hideout. DPS goes up to 90,683 for four second right after i summon a totem. With Ice Golem and totem summoned, it goes to 92,987. The reach is not the same without the Faster Projectiles, though. |

" With the amount of pure damage you have with this build, each added value gives you alot wether it be Cast Speed, Crit Multi etc. To get more damage you should aim for better main- and off-hand. Also get more ES on boots and Head. This build is capeable of up to 400k dps (fully buffed + perfect gear) so there is always room for improvement. " Yeah, every single point makes a difference. I'm far from optimized. Regarding weapons, i'm not sure how much crit multi + crit chance would be needed to make a better weapon that my Doryani's 131% fire spell damage, 38% crit chance and 9% cast speed. I did find some daggers with 60-80% crit chance, 30%+ crit multi, but much lower spell damage and cast speed. I'm not at the stage where i can just buy a 50 chaos weapon just to find out that it doesn't increase my DPS. In boots and helm my main issue are my resists. I realy need resists on them and i quite like the high life (not used to playing with Hybrid life + es, so i'm not very confortable on trading life for ES). I do have a 7.4k eHP, so i'm doing ok in this area, but more is always better. It will cost some decent currency for me to get real upgrades in this areas. My shield, as well, is only ok, and it's also something i can upgrade in the future. As i said, my build is far from finished. I still have some level 19 gems that need to be upgraded to 20 (or even 20/20). I still haven't done uber lab, so i'm only using one curse on my CWDT setup, and i'm still learning the mecanics of using vaal haste and vaal lightning trap. But even at this stage i'm able to run level 12 maps without trouble (except for maybe some bosses), |
