Explosive Arrow
Whether the explosions work passive skills incresed critical strike chance with bow (example Lethality) ? This explosion based on bow critical chance or has its own?

Great Thread!
After reading through it completely, there is only 1 question left for me: Does the "Blaze"-passive node in the Shadow area work with the Explosion? What I mean is: Does the Explosion count as "hit with fire damage" and thus have its chance to ignite increased by 5% ??? Thanks a lot! "The one who dies with the most toys is still dead."

What happens when my 5 stacks of fuse explode on large reflection pack, while having life leech and vaal pact on?
1. Do I hit all of the monsters first at once, then get hp from them? 2. Or maybe i get life after each monster hit? It looks pretty bad if the first scenario is true. Dealing around 5(fuses)x~600(base dmg)x2(fire,projectiles)x3(crit multiplier)=18k dmg to 10 monsters with 18% reflect and 75% fire res would hit my character for 8,1k dmg! IGN: HeavySmasher

Reflect with Vaal pact will work in this way:
For one target, for whatever damage you deal (fuses stack for one big burst), you will heal whatever your life leech (gem) percent is giving you for the ability. Then you take 18% of that damage to yourself. It is fire damage, so this is reduced by your resists. Then this process repeats for the next target because this process happens separately for each target. The moral of the story is that if you can't 1-shot yourself on a single target, you will never 1-shot yourself on a group. Note however that you can only leech off the HP a monster actually has, but you can reflect more if you do overkill damage. So don't barely kill a reflect group, then send 5 arrows at it again as this might kill you. @Moylin (Beyond) Last edited by Avelice on Jun 29, 2013, 10:20:20 PM

"This is not and never has been the case - leech is a function of damage dealt, it is not limited or dependant on the actual amount of life present in the target in any way. | |
Oh huh. A lot of people were talking about "overkill damage." Sorry about that false information.

" Kripparian actually tested this very extensively. He found he could kill himself on Cruel reflect aura enemies because they didn't have enough life to leech. There is a video on it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LDlqnjEeJM&list=UUeBMccz-PDZf6OB4aV6a3eA Hopefully it is a bug and you can get to fixing it ^^ IGN: @Deltrus

The ability to kill yourself on reflect has nothing to do with leech not happening for "overkill". The leeching code literally has no way to determine how much life the enemy has, it couldn't prevent leeching for overkill if we wanted it to without being rewritten to record that info when the damage is dealt. You can and do leech based on how much damage you do to enemies, regardless of their life.
If Kripparian drew the conclusion that leech doesn't happen for "overkill" damage, then he was mistaken. Last edited by Mark_GGG on Jul 1, 2013, 2:45:50 AM
