DD got butchered :(
It is slower than a 2 stack flameblast to cast on itself, 5+ if you also take in consideration the time to summon corpses with Desecrate gem. And at lvl 20 both deal the same amount of base damage. proof: All the advantage DD had over flameblast is now lost... One deals 300 Fire Damage, the other deals 300 Fire Damage plus 8% of the monster's Life. There's clearly a pretty big difference between their Base damage. :/

300 * 10 (roughly + delayed) vs 300 + 8% of similar targets' hp.

" yes, DD has no competitive advantage anymore... Even at 2 flameblast stack its stronger than DD in my testing. |

The flat fire damage is cool if you want to use the desecrate+dd combo since early. Of course, when higher lvl mobs show up I'll change it for a lvl1, and keep leveling the other one for the recipe... |

RIP DD.
Tested my lvl 50 witch thanks to path reset, went full fire aoe dps. Trap+ multitrap+ dese+ aoe boots, echo+ dd+ fc+ aoe+ inc burning chest, Ran a 46 sarn zone to test it, I need to spam DD 15-20 times to kill normal mobs, compare that to flamesurge 1400 dps, 2-3 hits to kill CHAMPIONS! Even faster if I switch Flamesurge+ FC+ Echo+ aoe into chest. DD is absolutely useless now that the corpse life is stuck at 8%. Didn't even bother leveling the gem to see it's low fire dmg. "Im smartest. Your stoped. Dael wiht it."

Guys this is a very simple chart i made to compare DD old and new., the new one lvl 20, the old whatever lvl. I found it very interesting, thought id share... X axis is mobs life, and Y axis is base total fire damage: Mob life / Old DD output / New DD output / difference in output 1000 / 180 / 364 / +102% 2000 / 360 / 444 / +23% 2840 / 511,2 / 511,2 / Point of equivalence 3000 / 540 / 524 / -3% 4000 / 720 / 604 / -11% 5000 / 900 / 684 / -24% 6000 / 1080 / 764 / -29% 7000 / 1260 / 844 / -33% 8000 / 1440 / 924 / -36% 9000 / 1620 / 1004 / -38% 10000 / 1800 / 1084 / -40% Now, i did some testing in merciless docks with a EK char. He avarages 1200 damage per cast, and it takes 3 casts to kill most mobs. So im assuming the mobs on docks have between 3000 and 4000 life. Just to put things in perspective... My gut feeling is that lvl 66 maps are between 5000-6000, lvl 70 7000-8000, 74 10000+ No wonder my witch on standard cant run mid/higher lvl maps anymore... Would be cool if the gem got "spell" tag and the flat damage scaled with spell power. Also it's a bummer that the crit chance can't be increased with spell crit nodes. If I ever play softcore I'm gonna try crit dd with infernal mantle or voll's protector.
