Currently, the visual part of cleave is unaffected so that it doesn't look like there's any difference, but larger AoE passives do actually increase the area.

Increased AOE gem doesn't increase the cleave arc but the range increase is easily noticeable.

It seems no one reported it, so I'll do it here.
Currently, Cleave attack speed is based on the weapon equipped in the main hand when dual wielding. I kept the same average sword for 2 difficulty levels because it had 1.70 AS, I could equip whatever I wanted in the off-hand to boost my damage, no matter what the speed was. I don't know, it feels like a bug, or maybe the overall damage is reduced, but it didn't seem like it... I think the speed should be the average of both weapons or something like that... I kinda feel Cleave is too powerful compared to the various single target skills right now. Then again, I feel the same about Split Arrow. Single damage spells should deal significant damage to make a difference.

Some support gems are clearly OP on those skills, like life gain on hit. Maybe they should add another malus for AoE skill, but it would reduce the readability again...

This great skill should not have limitation to weapon used for melee.
Dagger/Claw should be allowed to use it if the wish |

I'm not positive on this, but I believe that when you cleave, you have the chance to hit or miss all enemies in your path. And this doesn't necessarily make sense, I think it should be that for each enemy it has potential to strike that it should do a separate "roll" for each of them. I don't know how hard this would be to incorporate, I don't think it's really a issue at all but it would just make more sense
