My tooltip is currently 25k ish pre-frenzy (this is with flame golem and hatred aura going).

My 5L is EK + faster casting + echo + added fire + faster projectiles in a coil. Have a 22% rustic sash, and around 70% added spell damage on both my dagger and shield apiece.

I'm guessing that the missing jewel slots are an issue, as well as the lack of a sixth link. But god damn it if the build requires that sixth link level 4 empower.

i don't play Cantrip's Build myself. But as i can tell from my EK Build, you definately need very good Jewels to get high end Damage. I dont know your EK Gem level, but when you compare a lvl 20 EK to a lvl 24 EK, you increase your base Damage by around 50%. After that, all other multipliers are added. In my case 1 Extra Level of EK gives me around 10k DPS, so the Gem level by itself is a big deal and that's how Damage Scaling works in PoE. As i remember, you keep struggeling to get the right colours for your Gem Setup. But what you can try is to replace Faster Casting with Controlled Destruction. This will not increase your Tooltip DPS by much, but you will hit a lot harder. More multipliers are multiplied with each other, so every additional mutliplier will be a lot better. As an example, in case of my EK RF Build, i have ~30k tooltip in my 6link with Hatred and Flame Golem. But with 5 Frenzy Charges and Righteous Fire i will end up at 70k DPS.

So higher Base Damage is scaled up by alot and every % increased Damage and every % more Damage will make up the difference. And the same applies for an additional Support Gem.
In case of Physical Spells, because of Added Fire and Hatred, the Gem level is more important than for other Spells.

It depends on the gearing. Since I'm going for a Hyrri's, I feel the 16% Spell Dodge from the boots is a big deal, and losing all that Cast Speed / Attack Speed (for WB) is a HUGE deal.

What links are you using?

EK/faster projectiles/echo/faster casting/poison/added fire?

Or is it:

EK/poison/added fire/echo/faster casting/controlled destruction?

If the second, then putting that into anything BUT a Tabula probably can run into god knows how many chromes (3 blue off colors).
