Hey, i've been looking for some insight about EK to play in tempest, do you think it is possible to EK in tempest without huge investment? (less than 5 exalt or so) 4L Lightning Coil and a geofri is what i was aiming for

i made a build myself a few nights ago with probably tons of mistakes:

This with englighten + purity of light + AA + hatred and clarity + HoA without any link works if i put a Conqueror's Efficiency in a socket.

Do you think this would work or i'd need more than 5 exalt to make it happen for other slots?

Your tree is similar to mine, except a few wasted passives and aura nodes. I mostly think Vaal Pact isn't safer than a good amount of Regeneration + Life Leech, given a good life pool.

As for cost, yes, if you can afford a Lightning Coil, and continue to use Geofri's to end-game, you can eventually pass 30K DPS, though not much further (maybe 45K with near perfect gear). However, I'd ditch Purity of Lightning (cap res with gear alone, and some Jewels with Life+Damage+Res) and the Shadow Aura passives, and HoA - instead, just run Clarity / Hatred / AA, and get more Life and Life Regen / Frenzy Charges.

Yea i just checked around a bit and only found a crit EK and i don't wanna go crit.. so i just made it up myself so i am sure there are some wasted passives haha.

Without Vaal Pact can be tried, have to run-by it anyway it's always 1 click away but i don't understand the ditching part. With 12% reserve reduction (+ 1 jewel slot or lvl 2 enlighten) i think we can run clarity hatred AA AND HoA. Am i wrong at this? Ditching purity seems like a good advice i forgot we can grab extra stuff from jewels.

How much life regen you think would be sufficent?

There's no such thing as too much regen, nor life. And if you want to run HoA, it's more cost effective to get the Templar Aura Passives + some mana massives / Enlighten 2-3 - certainly no point for the Shadow's Aura Passives.
I honestly think the DPS is enough without it, and will only get it once I have all the life I can grab at this point.

Oh i did not mean to ask how much i should get *maximum* but *minimum*, as i cant seem to go over %5 regen as for life i try to click on any i can find as i play HC :P


The aura nodes i had in mind was charisma between ranger and shadow (12%) which we are next to it so no unnecessary points wasted getting em.

Anyway thanks for the help i think i'll go for 12% aura with a jewel which i'll replace when i can afford an enlightment lvl 2 to run 3+1 auras/HoA. Seems better to just ditch all nodes that goes from shadow to witch and instead i'll focus them more at templar area (more regen/life) and ranger heart of oak + projectile node as suggested.

I'd say 3.8% from the tree you get more or less for free. The rest comes from Blood Dance, though, so it's also quite reliable. It's kinda an all or nothing thing with Blood Dance, so your regen is 3.8-9.8% :)

What jewels are we talking about in op?

I suggest you add this to your post Cantrip it seems some ppl (me included at first) have a hard time understanding how to see jewels :P
