[2.2] I Cast Magic Missile! - Cantrip's guide to Ethereal Knives / Bladefall. 7K Life, 100K+ DPS!

At this point I am contemplating to scrap my mana based EA scion and switch to EK...

In case anyone wants to try this with Bladefall (use in offline planner):

Hatred + Blasphemy Warlords for auras? And ignore all mana nodes?

Also I think Sniper node + Nullification are worth dropping 1 jewel slot to get.

Also for starters many of the jewel slots can be scrapped for beginning char. With 2 new physical spells to get people hyped good jewels will be hard and expensive.

Nah, getting Jewels for EK isn't hard. So many options... And I'm not a fan of relying 100% on Mana Leech, since you want enemies to be FAR AWAY.

As for Sniper, etc, perhaps, yeah. Not sold on the efficiency, those are quite shitty overall with the wasted point. Ziggy sees it too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LScFQLvnzXc&t=17m7s

However, I wonder if Poison is a reliable thing? We can get 10% to Poison, and +125% Poison Damage. If the gem is any good, that might combo nicely, but I usually prefer real DPS. Also, the Poison's DPS will be based on the Physical part only, so only about half your damage.

Oh, and if you're using Atziri's Step, obviously you'll be running Blood Rage. Question remains if that's worth it, but it's an option. I'll be trying that, for sure.

It wasn't that hard below because only EK was physical spell (Shockwave uses other gems). Now that bladefall and vortex is in it might get trickier.

For 4 points you get:

30% Proj Damage
5% health
8% all res
25% evasion
10% proj speed
20% ES (useless)

You wont get anything better from 3 points to get 1 Jewel socket + 1 more generic point.

The Elementalist node in the Templar area is also worth it. For one point you get 12% ele resist, 10% ele dmg (applies to half ur damage) and occasional ele effects, which probably wont be relevant. If you have mirror gear mb you don't need it, but 12 ele resist is just too good to pass.

We have to see the poison gem. If its similar to Added Fire and it adds Chaos dmg it will be worth it. Otherwise I wouldn't bother.

I'd say that's worth 3 points, easy, but not 4.

is mostly garbage. I'd not take a point like that, probably. Even assuming you want to compare to a Jewel, a 3 point Jewel that's worth it is 7% Life + 25% Damage (or even better).

As for links, Bladefall and EK are the exact same. Unless you prefer Conc Effect over Empower, in a 6l Carcass Jack.
