I used to watch him do maps with Willywonka, on willy's stream. At least at the time I was watching him, he was using Kaoms, because he had close to 9k hp.

So did anyone ever end up testing Empower?

Sounds about right. I have 9,400~ with kaoms.

Do you tend to die on a regular basis doing maps to reflect? avoid them all together, or can you handle them ok?

Biggest problem I am having atm, leveling up, is that i am currently level 30 and cannot really use EA effectively for killing, at all. I can't level it past level 2 since I have really little dex (even took a 30 dex node, inbetween blood magic and duelist area.) Do I just need to get a jade necklace, with int and HP? If I don't use a neck with int, i wont be able to level elemental prolif/chance to ignite.... Leaving EA at the level it is now, my damage output cannot sustain my life taken from Blood Magic, so it's not viable. Leveling up Infernal Blow melee splash atm, and it's twice as effective.

Maybe i'll get a light quiver and one of those new Turquoise Amulets that give int+dex. Atm, like I said, i can't even level my EA past level 2 - and that's with 1 dex and 1 int node and an onxy amulet on.

Your best bet is to level to about 40-50 (gear depending) with ground slam or leap slam (or whatever leveling poison you use). Get as much +life gear and take the BM node. Turq or onyx ammy + dex on quiver will help out a lot with the req's.

Take as many +30 int/dex nodes as you can, even if they are a tad bit out of your normal path. You will be left with plenty of respec points by the time you finish merc.

I like leveling with searing touch (4 link) , stone of lahz ammy, 2x doedres damning (all very cheap). Leaves you with +30-50 int, +70-100 mana depending on rolls. Using a combination of Fireball & fire trap. Solves all int' needs and hits like a truck. Requires a bit of starting wealth of course, but those 4 uniques easily last you to 50.

Keep in mind, with 1.0.0 releasing in 12 days, anything could change :)

Yeah, i've been leveling Infernal Blow melee splash and it's going pretty fast - already level 40. I am starting to get into the dex nodes, before hitting IR and it's helping me a bit more - still trying to get my hands on a Turquoise amulets with all attributes and life. And i'll throw on a light quiver too once I start using my quill rain and EA.
