Well, I have heard two version of it, but as you can take it:

1. Atheists do not believe in any god - your claim is correct
2. Atheists believe that there is no god - your claim is not correct

I, honestly, do not care a lot about it. Some people claim that version 2. is right, other people who call themselves atheists say that the 1. is correct ;____;

I'd go with 2. and say that people who call themselves atheists and go with 1. are agnostics.
I might be wrong, as I have not been thinking about it all too much. :P

You are. It boils down to etymology of the word. When you put "a" infront of an adjective, it means "absense of". For example is something is atypical, that means that it is absent of being typical, and is therefore not typical. Atheism is an absence of theism, not an outright rejection of the possibility of there being some kind of God.

Honestly to me they look like an annoyance that I'd rather be without. That being said, I'm still interested in the packs, if only to show my support for the game itself regardless of demons :p

Was really hoping that you could use the armor the demons are wearing. A little bit disappointing that there are no new armor sets to choose from. :/
