Everyone is free to believe anything they like. However when an idea is voiced in public it becomes open to scrutiny. Bad ideas will be mocked.

Also leaving bad ideas unopposed does not make the world a better place. It actually makes the world a worse place. You see ideas have these things called consequences and nutty religious ideas have had and continue to have some of the worst consequences of any other set of ideas.

The only truly ethical thing to do when a bad idea is voiced is to state that it is bad.
