End of One Month Torment/Bloodlines Leagues and Announcement of Five Day Solo Leagues (Updated!)

Seriously?

This cracks me up. People crying about the duration of the league and how they won't have time to play.

Closed Beta could be wiped at any time, and you have to level to get to Act 4.
Guess what, even if you get into the Beta, you're all going to start crying because you can't access the new content because you don't have time to play.

I swear. I tried really, really, hard to keep myself from engaging in all this saltiness over the beta, but I find it exasperating that every event that GGG is promoting to GIVE MORE PEOPLE ACCESS is met with condemnation and a never ending litany of reasons why 'it's so unfair to ME'... The entitlement and selfishness that pervades society nowadays sickens me.

how about beta keys for the top 50 in bl/torment (hc or standard)...or top 5 of each class? :P

I know I get upset and depressed always when I turn on PoE cause of the CBT issue.

BUT - the thing is that whatever other game I try to play I get the feeling that the games are either planned for Group play or then I get the feeling that the Companies are more after my wallet than anything else.

PoE just offers a style of gameplay/mechanics/RMX system that make me always come back...

ps. Chris you should stop the "hype torture" with beta keys - for real. Instead make a clear manifesto how to distribute keys overall during the whole beta. People will just settle whats written in the manifesto and maybe the river-of-tears ends and people can play Live servers for the while without the whole "key hassle anxiety".

And still no keys for people who have spent over $500 but not a top supporter pack.

Explain to me why the $590 dollars I have spent in this game is valued less than other players $500?

The woes of a (minor) part does not reflect the whole community. Whatever GGG decides, there will always be people that feel they are left out. Whether they are right or wrong is debatable.

I'm pumped for the one week race today and I am a major supporter of SFL. I would have raced even if GGG didn't offer keys. The beta keys is just another great incentive. But I feel for people left out simple because:

- their donation was not deemed sufficient even if their total donation surpasses Grandmasters
- they have a life and cannot win legitimately vs nolifers, campers etc.
- They have no luck with the beta invites.
- etc etc.

Next time, think before you pour your godforsaken bile over the community that helped shaped PoE. It is because of their contribution that you are enjoying beta 2.0 in exclusivity. You should be thankful.

And let's face it. They 'deserve' to be in the beta as much as any so-called 'Alphas'.

Exactly.

I love the idea of SF race, but as others have mentioned...some of us have lives. There's no way for me to get to the top, and to spend time getting to level 70 just for a chance to win 1 out of 25 keys (or 2 out of 50) is frankly a waste of my time.

If it was a 1 month league, with a guaranteed key at level 90, or something similar to your previous league: a fancy set of mtxs, I'd gladly consider it... but 5 days... even at full steam, that's not enough time to get a solid base of maps going.

Sorry GGG, but I don't think this is a "great idea", or even a "good one". Imo (only) it's a consolation prize, with something else on the horizon. Let's be fair, 5 days vs 6-8 weeks (maybe more) means you need to come up with something else too.

As was stated somewhere else on the forums, you need to come up with a comprehensive plan, and outline ALL that you intend to do, while we await the release of act IV.

It's starting to "feel" a little silly. I've been a staunch supporter of you, and have stuck around since 2012 because you've made a fantastic game and continue to improve upon it. I fully expect act IV and all the changes to further improve the game.

But somewhere in the back of my mind, a sad thought comes to mind: you've dropped the ball, and are having a heck of a time picking it back up again.

I say this as politely as possible:

Stop dilly dallying and just make it clear to your supporting player base...
