I'm playing this spec (or planning to) on my first HC character, I levelled a leap slam marauder to 68 in Default and now I've just hit level 20 on HC. I'm not really sure how to go about levelling as I'm currently kinda stuck as melee as I obviously don't have any twink gear on HC league.

When forced to level as melee do you have any tips as to whether I should severely overlevel or anything like that to make progress less dangerous?

I would also love to know ballpark figures on a 10% freezing pulse and any old 5L so I know how much I'm going to need to transition.

I suggest not to try the spec if it's your first hardcore character. Reason being.....

1. Die before you even get a chance to try out the actual spec
2. Your going to be rushing through trying the spec before you obtain 10+ quality freezing pulse and 5L in result thinking the spec doesn't work and/or make excuses to complain about the spec
3. There are tons of specs out there less gear dependent to try out in hardcore
4. Result in never playing hardcore again thinking hardcore is totally BS... only those nerds, otaku, hardcore gamers, no life people play it.

P.S. No more questions please... I won't be answering anymore questions or suggestions regarding this spec... the tiny guide I posted is way enough information for people "suitable" for trying out this build

There is 1 person I know tried this spec on his first hardcore character with nothing, although he died at lvl 79, he should have enough experience to teach you a couple of tips. Cautions answer almost every questions from viewers.

No stress, I'm committed to trying it. I'm plenty experienced with hardcore to know what the risks are and not quit on the game lol...

I'll be levelling with melee until I have enough to buy the freezing pulse and the 5l, hence why I wanted to know how much it costs so I have the currency available. But oh well.

Been making this build for a while , didnt have very good gear .

Been quite tough going , dex was alot of the problems .

Dps issues , not having 5L is costing me alot of dmg since I dont have added lightning gem.


Once I get 5L armor I should hopefully start to do some higher DPS . Getting some gear with resists and HP is a challenge as well .

Been using that on -max resists maps, or crazy maps with reflect magic

Did Kripp intentionally leave out the extra 10% chance to shock node next to static blows? Or is this just something you spec out of once you get GMP because your chance to shock is already so high?
