How the Closed Beta is going so far

An account with no characters and no playtime at all is not getting streamed. They may, at some point, get filtered out, or it is indeed a new player in which case the selection is fine. Stop whining and checking god knows what all the time, there is no value to that and it will not get you in the beta faster, if at all.

Well.. Seeing all these accounts made in the last two days getting in is really depressing.

I would hate to state an obvious, how do you know if you are in the Bata if you signed up for it already?

you get an email to the address you registered your account with and an ingame message.

I have an idea that they are not fully random. Knowing more signed up then will test it, thus they are selecting a rather large amount of them accounts. This could limit the strain on the beta server until they move to the next stage, for stability, and to limit any possible bandwidth issues . Many are streaming and they may not want this to look bad. If so, I wonder how many are just going to sell the account? I cannot show any evidence of this, it is just an idea. They will speed up the timer or perhaps add beta keys to supporter packs as the test moves to the next tier possibly. I have so far seen 32 beta account being sold for RMT watching twitch streams.

Yes, they have. Then they were banned and legitimate people replaced them.

Our systems for duplicate account detection are very advanced because we use them for large-scale bot/RMT detection. We block 99.5% of the shill accounts that people make, and that number is only growing as we refine the detection mechanisms.

GGG doesnt care anymore about the people that are getting in they got there publicty in by iniatly inviting streamers for the first beta launch. they got what they wanted and no longer care cause it brought in new accts and people to play. they no longer care about the people that have been playing loyal for quit some time now. this whole act 4 in april then goes to CB was one huge publicty stunt to get more people playing. as usual a company thats gotten as far as they have no longer cares about the general players anymore. and there is nothing that can be posted to change anything. they will keep being the way they are and wont change unless people say screw it and stop playing and make them change due to lose of revenue.
