Dual-wield crit Ice Nova -- 89k+ dps -- EZ Atziri Kills!! -- One of the top clear speeds in PoE!

Hi,

I am very interested in this build and I tried it in HC. Died somewhere along the way in the 30s.

So what I wanted to do is make a version that feels more safe. That's why I thought: why not start as Scion for close range to the life wheel?

I kinda made a trade off to get some more +%life to make it safer - especially since I don't have the currency for uber gear and since I am fairly new to the game.

Would you please take a look at it?

Starting at scion only makes you waste skill points for mana.

If you want a safer version, just put a life leech gem in your links and head towards vaal pact.

If you want it to be even safer, drop a dagger and use a saffell's frame instead.

Leveling Tree pretty please? :D

Do you think this would be a build that could do well at the start of a new league (or the expansion) or is it too dependent on some of the gear to be viable straight out of the gate?

Well people have been complaining that nova is mana hungry and doesn't do much damage while leveling.

You can use another skill for leveling up, but once you got your base items, the build works REALLY well.

Has anyone looked into how we can adapt this when The Awakening comes out? I know Simplesim45 was interested in looking into it when the xpac was actually released but I want to start with it day 1 and I'm not good enough with the mechanics yet to optimally build it myself.


What are the major changes that will hurt this build? I saw changes to Arctic Armor and Reduced Mana.

Thinking about this build for the HC League, any chance this will be updated?

I'm in no way a competent buildmaker and I have no familiarity with the pre-2.0 tree, but something like this maybe (right click, view image)?

I'm working on adapting this right now guys.

The damage is taking a pretty significant drop, but it should still be pretty high once I get a few more jewels.

Good thing is we can still use arctic armour. We just need to drop herald of ice (and get the fire golem to make up for that damage loss)

We're losing haste and we're changing the curse to warlord's mark, but we're gaining molten shell, vaal molten shell and the fire golem. Still have 1 socket I need to figure out what to do with.

Then I need to work on the tree a bit more and get some sexy jewels.

Im really excited about your updated build. I hope it's going to work well.
