Preview of Upcoming UI/QOL Improvements

You call that QoL improvements? Those are useless. What use do I have for an ingame clock? I have plenty of clocks around me. What use do I have for party map names when I play solo? None.

This is useless work done, time and effort of GGG's manpower gone to waste. Where are the performance improvements? Where is the option to disable particle and weather effects? Where is the option to customise the size and placement of the FPS/latency monitoring graphs? Where are the improvements for distinguishing important drops during play? Those are the things that improve QoL, not these basically useless "features".

GGG has always had the bad habit of trickle-feeding the community the unimportant aspects of their upcoming work, but I don't think I've ever felt THIS insulted before. It's a good thing that I've been putting off writing an article/review of the game yet. I was hoping that I'll have a few good things to write about Act 4 and maybe kindle new interest in the game, but as it is, I think I'll be more inclined to showcase PoE negatively. And I am glad I am too poor to afford supporter packs, because I'd be mightily disappointed right now if I had put money into this game.

Spoiler
A small edit because I predict my post might be targeted by the hype sheep: I love the game and I still play it every day, unlike most of you who probably have been playing other things for the last two months, crying about the duration of temp leagues and slow development of act 4. I'm just disappointed by GGG's approach towards the community as of late. It reminds me too much of other companies that eventually gave up on communication completely, made a P2W cash shop and abandoned development.

So because you don't need these features they must be useless for the whole community? Such ignorance. You feel offended? I'm offended by your crazy entitlement. You judge act 4 by a screenshot with clock and map names features? I'm sorry, are you stupid?

I'm ashamed there are people like you in our community.

QoL? LoL rather

why people hacked (and hack up to this day)? to cheat - sure. but also to remove the f.. rain and make game run like 10 times faster.

what is being done about that?

because re-adding features present in D2-age (names on minimaps) is not something people were waiting for.

- rain
- particle crap all over the screen
- zoom level
- modern sound engine that does not die with more than 10 mobs around (64 lines i think it can handle..)

and after these

- loot filter (play animate weapon build for a while and youll understand)
- better stash search (at least add 'type' filter like 'helmet')
- 'floating' UI (move chat somewhere else, remove big/flashy/cheap 'masters-quest' features from the screen (you should have known better than vertical screen estate is very precious - yet the clock is just there, where mobs are coming from.. that wasnt great move)

and please revert that incredibly inconvenient 'improvement' of mine placement. it was a change noone welcomed and mine-laying currently is.. dead
Names is a big step. Other party-oriented features I hope to see:

Party members not on minimap indicated by arrows. Scrolling around with the arrow keys is tedious and gets me killed.

"So-and-so has left the area" message should say where they went. Forest Encampment is a particularly good example of the importance of this. A party member disappears and it's a mad scramble to figure out which exit he took to keep up with him.
Thank you, thank you for ingame clock. You are awesome. :D
cool beans!
I'm that Morty guy.
Edit: NVM, thats a blue K not a red K. Ignore.

Yeah I do not understand such level of vehemence(insulted???).To me this is totally a positive thing.Having names on the map means you can see who is indicating something there and the clock means I do not have to alt tab to windows to see time is getting on.
Best part saved 'til the end. I mean... CLOCK!

This is only the first reveal (with some new art for the mana flask? and is that another symbol on the leap slam?) and I'm already hyped.
There has to be a low point where some people stop complaining because it's just not worth it, and I have yet to see it. - Squeakypaw, 2013
Good stuff!!! Keep it up!
