Pierce is wery important gem ,since i shoot 8 arrows with double strike at one time ,with pierce it gain alot of AOE power.

My double strike is enchanced by 8 or 9 (dont even remember) support gems :P
They are just scathered in all my gear.

Yes, but, the Pierce support gem in your bow isn't connected to Double Strike, it's connected to Increased Item Quantity, another support gem, which is not gonna help Double Strike. ='[.]'=

Err... you misunderstood how support gems work. They don't need to be directly connected.

Oh? Nertz! I haven't played, but I have been watching a lotta vids, and I came away thinking that the active skill gem has to be directly linked to any support gems in a given item. Also, that if you have duplicates of the active skill gem in multiple items, you could add even more supports to it, in those other items, again, so long as each was directly connected to it.

So, just to make sure I understand things correctly, it's not necessary for the active gem to be directly linked to supports in the same item, so long as links exist between all gems affecting the main skill? Likewise, if you had two different active skill gems and one support, the two active skills would be affected by the support, even if only one was connected to the support gem?

PS: I started a couple of minutes ago, so yeah, these items are not that cool, I just wanted to show the Non Beta Guys some simple Items!

This is it. the first Item I shown is the first item you receive as a duelist, but with yellow mods and a different gem layout (The first item has the 3 gems layout, this one only has the green one)
Hmm... What should I write here?

Yeah you got it right :)
But it is also true that having duplicates of an active gem in different items lets you connect more support gems to them, but even in that case they don't need to be directly connected.
Got beta key on 15/11/2011, thanks dave01
Okay. Well, that certainly makes things a bit less difficult! =^[.]^=

Yes. a little drawn butter and a gauntlet never fail to please :)
It seem like so many option per item :| ...
I think about 2~3 ottion per item is better. That 'll make you harder in balance and choose item for every raid boss. Too many option per item will create very much item useless. (follow d3 :S)
Btw, anyone've picked set item yet?
I'm waiting for a beta key. If you dont have anyone to invite, please just invite me.

From what I heard (actually, what I read in this thread) PoE won't have set items. I may be wrong though.
