I would say it gives a better insight in what to expect when the game is played.

You will have a tiny better understanding of how you can work with gems, see how they can be socketed, and from that, try and make a build plan that you think could work.

And get info on what kind of weapons you might want to use, since you can see how they look.

Wish I would of never seen this thread. Hope open beta isn't too far off, can't wait to start leveling some gems and finding good loot...
