Haven't heard of nor seen anyone with one. They'd be impossibly OP (unlt'd skill points), and worth more than all the currency in-game combined....
UNLESS...
Unless you are capped at using 5-ish per character. Ever.
They'd still be worth 10+ mirrors...which nobody has.
They don't drop.
They're the replacement for just automatically being given your skill point, you get it in book form like a quest item, that you have to right click to use

You can only get them books as quest rewards from the current quests that give you skill points :P
Too bad it only can have 3 sockets. But it may be good weapon to put Eth Knives + IIR+IIQ on weapon swap to kill bosses and yellows. I think ill buy one today because of that. :)
from what i know you just need to get it with higher ilvl and you can have 6 linked

Sadly not - 1 handed weapons and shields can have max 3 sockets.
Proud 5th duelist in the Jul 1 2012 Ladder Race and in the Nov 3 2012 Solo Turbo Race :D
And even prouder 4th Templar in the Nov 10 Four-hour Party Hardcore Race :P
Current OB success:
top 20 Ranger in 105 Minute Turbo Solo (S4E9)
This game needs a unique 1h-axe. One fit for a butcher with high physical damage and blood dripping from it. Fit for dual wielding to cyclone the shit out mobs.

So whats the point of those skill books? If you cant stash them, do anything with them only click them to get the SP what you should do immediately after receiving it? :|

May I quote the news that announced it:
"The skill book shown in the inventory in the screenshot is the way that we're now handling passive skill points and respec points granted by quests. We always intended to give them in the form of consumable items, because the extra step not only feels more meaningful to the player but helps communicate to new players what they have received and why. There is no way to abuse these items to get more than the right number of points from each. They cannot be transferred to other characters."
Regular players won´t benefit from it nor will it hurt them, but for new players, I think, it is a good way to tell them, they received a skillpoint.
