unique items *no longer updated*
Alright, changed the list format to reflect Iao's suggestion. I also combined the melee weapons into 1h and 2h categories again instead of a separate spoiler for each. Is this a good compromise? I'd rather not go back to the original format without spoiler tags. The post was too lengthy and cluttered, imo.
"It'd be very aesthetically unpleasing. It would end up with one item on each line and the list would be gianormous. There's no way that I know of for me to get rid of or overwrite the "clear: both" css properties. Last edited by FaceLicker#6894 on Dec 12, 2012, 4:41:33 PM

The new format looks great, much better than before. Nice work.

It would be really convenient to have a section under "Diamond Uniques" (or just add it to the existing credits) where it actually shows each item.
I was interested in seeing the items that diamond supporters have designed so far, but it seems like it's a fairly tedious task =P |

For the catagory "2hand Melee" you have a few staves that are obviously caster based. Wouldn't it be more accurate to lable it as "2hand Weapons". Could also change the 1hand catagory to "1hand Weapons" aswell.
Just a nitpick. |

Staves are melee weapons. "Two-handed weapons" would include bows, which is (I assume) not the intention.

I suppose just sectioning weapons into exact item-type would be best in the long run.
FaceLicker, I've made a version doing that and using separators within the spoiler tags between one-handed and two-handed items. The code is posted here if you would like to use it. same name in-game Last edited by iao#2860 on Dec 13, 2012, 7:40:21 PM

"That is correct. Staves are inherently melee weapons. Bows do not benefit from the same passives as 2h melee weapons. Staves and 2h axes/maces/swords all benefit from 2h melee passives and can be freely interchanged without any loss of benefits from the passives(provided stat reqs are met and no specific weapon nodes are chosen.) In this regard there is a clear distinction between bows and 2h melee weapons. This is also true for wands vs 1h melee weapons. I could lump wands and bows together as projectile weapons but I chose to separate them due to bows being 2h and utilizing quivers while wands are 1h and can be dual wielded but are not meant to be used with quivers. I don't feel the need to specify which weapon is an axe and which is a sword. It's quite obvious just by hovering the mouse cursor over the item. And honestly this list isn't here to educate people on the distinction between the weapon types or the difference between melee and ranged or attacks vs spells. There are other resources for that. This is simply a list to bring attention to unique items in, what I feel, is a coherent manner. It's really not confusing at all andthe current format is exactly the same as the original except now its in spoiler tags to clean up the look. There was no problem or confusion before so there should be none now. I guess I'll try and make it a bit more clear though.. Last edited by FaceLicker#6894 on Dec 13, 2012, 8:29:06 PM

Fair points. Did not think about how the term "2hand Weapon" would also include Bows.
