Bestels Schiff riss sich dort draußen an den Klippen den Bauch auf, als es Korsaren zu entkommen versuchte. Die Piraten haben sich genommen, was sie wollten. Die Plünderer nahmen den Rest. Tarkleigh zog Bestel aus einem Versteck im Wrack. Er war der einzige Überlebende an Bord. Ob diese Tortur nun seine Meinung geändert hat oder es einfach in seiner Natur liegt, Bestel segelt ... einen anderen Kurs als der Rest von uns. Bauch is the direct translation but "Rumpf"/"Kiel" (keel) would be more pleasant. Unless you want to refer to his ship as a living beeing :) | |

They went with professional translators - how good of an idea that was remains to be seen, though. Fantasy works are a tad different from day-to-day business correspondence, contracts and similar stuff. ;-D
But the snippets we've seen here improved a lot from the first drafts and they seem to take some extra time and not rush things which I'd call a good sign. :-) Exit, pursued by a Plummeting Ursa.

It also seems like feedback from the community has been forwarded to the translators, hence (?) the improvement in the second draft.
I still think that a community effort would have been the faster approach. There's a problem, though: New content that would have to be translated before release. If you have a professional translation service, you can also have NDAs and stuff. With a community project this is not so easy. And you can set deadlines if you're paying. If the community does it, you can pretty much do nothing. Bird lover of Wraeclast

Also, better consistency/continuity with a pro team and less arguing :-D Still, +1 to a little more community participation for feedback/tweaking/polishing. :-)

Well my english is not that good but i can help with some feedback about the PT version
I think is a great translante to our language,is not from google translate at least and not robotic, and is very different from the version of Portugal, that is kinda cool You guys did a great job working in this version, but you guys need to find a Brazilian and talk to him more about these translates, cuz we have a lot of slangs who could be very useful in the translate, but is a great work Thank u for translate the game :) (Sorry if my english is bad, i'm learning ) Last edited by Youngmyself on Jul 31, 2015, 12:20:26 AM
