Account Security and Theft Policy - READ THIS
" Nope, they are blaming this one on the users, even though most of us know that this is not the reality. Sad to see. |

The thing is GGG knows who is stealing those items, as they have checked the logs etc.
They do not ban them, they do not ip block them, they basically do nothing against this hacking/stealing. The only explanation is that they have a deal with those companies or so, no one knows and will know. PS It would be good to know that their servers/website has been hacked so that we can change our passes etc to prevent this, but again they seem not to care. IGN Razooorek

I would feel a lot better if I carried inherent trust in GGG to do the right thing...
My only worry about a no reimbursement policy is what if GGG's database is compromised, even to a minor degree, and accounts are breached? If GGG does not disclose the breach then they can say what they said in the OP - Don't do X and Y won't happen... I find an absolute statement establishing an absolute system on a key issue to be very distressing. Considering the input, time, and the value attached to time - the fact that no option is being considered for reimbursement is downright scary. For me, if my account was compromised and I was doing none of the actions listed, I would harass GGG until I had some type of satisfactory response. The fact is, if I donate money to kickstarter and support the game via micro-transactions then you BETTER treat me like a customer. So... I believe this is bad policy. It's only setting yourselves, GGG; up for failure. First time a real scenario happens when your "CUSTOMER" loses valuable items and they did none of the actions you described... Then that person documents all their interaction with GGG and posts it to the forums - Well enjoy being cast as Jay Wilson :) The amount of hate will be downright interesting to watch. Reading between the lines... GGG doesn't have the money to fund CS employees who investigate each instance of claimed fraud. That would have been the honest statement to make. Sad that you didn't just lead with that. Instead, casting it back onto the economy and using a bit o' smoke and mirrors. Not a fan of dishonesty even if I am basing that dishonesty on my personal speculation. |

Got "hacked"? Blame yourself. Learn to use computer and secure yourself. Anyone can learn to drive a car.. anyone can learn to use computer and secure oneself.

After having changed my password and scanned for malware I believe they've relogged into my account and taken all my legendaries (the only thing which was left yesterday). I believe the breach of security is actually in your site login, so if you could observe my account over the next 24 hours and actually note any suspicious logins (for example one that isn't even in England) it would really be appreciated.
Furthermore, there should be a feature set up where I can start a new account and transfer my donor statuses over in case this breach continues! |

" ""doG!" Is an unique password because I've never used it anywhere else. Thus if I get hacked it's GGG's fault." lol'd Last edited by Selanmer#4881 on Feb 21, 2013, 2:54:49 AM
