" for the legacy bor =) Question on Atziri: I have never attempted her before but I would like to try. For the veterans that have done her with a melee build or even with this build, can you please tell me what flasks I should carry and any other advice in terms of preparation and gearing I should know before I try her? I heard it is very difficult with melee, not sure how I would fare against her and I don't know any strategies. Also, how much health and DPS do we need to kill her? I assume I need at least 5k and above level 90. Thank you! Last edited by sighlight#4723 on Jan 12, 2015, 1:43:57 AM

Atziri is extremely easy for this build and if you are lazy you can pretty much facetank all her phases. I just use saffels instead of aegis and atziri boots instead of rainbowstride + pof and hoa instead of grace. For the flasks I use two life flasks with remove bleeding, two ruby flasks and atziri flask for better dps in miror phase.
Trio is little harder (you have to actually do something compared to atziri) and you should look at some melee guides if you haven´t been there yet. About the dps I can´t tell since you use cyclone (I use static strike), with the extra resist from saffels and pof you should need only about 4k hp, but having more is always safer.. " why is the trio harder? can the trio insta kill me? I am afraid of insta death. Do I at least have a chance to portal out? and why do you use atziri's step? Not sure what the point is. rainbow gives you spell block, does atziri step give you some different kind of spell block? edit: OH. DODGE spells. that's pretty damn good. Sounds great to use against spell casting bosses! Last edited by sighlight#4723 on Jan 12, 2015, 10:06:46 AM

This weekend I made a variation of this build and I've been loving it so far.
If there are any comments/questions on my build, I would be more than happy to answer them. I've elected to run more chaos resist to use Blood Rage for a 4k dps increase and life leech. A double legacy BoR makes a huge difference for the build, highly prioritize this item. I also run two legacy Rumi's with max spell block chance to achieve 75/75 in scary moments (overkill but fun). I wish I had a legacy Aegis though, that will be my next purchase. Saffel's for spell caster bosses, The Anvil for heavy physical, pretty standard setup. ~4k HP, ~700 ES, ~32k Static Strike dps (max charges), 6k armor, 75/57 block, level 85. Gear

" With saffels and stone of lazhwar you have overcapped spell block, so you don´t need rainbowstride, atziri's step give you that spell dodge + nice hp (with legacy saffels you can even drop stone of lazhwar and use some hp + phys dmg amulet). For other boses you can check https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0moztOf1SNU. It is for different build, but it is almost the same as ours. | |
I am a brand new player first character.
This style of build is exactly what Duelist seemed to say to me when I first looked at my passive tree, one handed weapon, high defense, high blocking, with counter attacks . However, not having the experience of ya'all, I went from Duelist to Marauder with the plan to grab Resolute Technique earlier so that I could hit more often earlier. Also I thought Cleave would be the best primary attack, but I have read differently in this thread with Molten and Cyclone being spoken of highly. My passive tree plan https://www.poebuilder.com/character/AAAAAgQAuR2bLV85ivDpRsSCsKu-p2VNR369NoTZL8xNRsGCYuyE73rvdO0FLWBLXhPAv0CgrK8M96mVj5kEhzJOpBm2LCXfG_o6UoZgYVLvThiRvJ8UTfxLggfZfBRxDjxZ_jB34mFkUsGj-OsTTCb4F-FOMs9-dqzqGHzZ9zJqAZe0Valyqf5UDc0rUBzOPQ_E9q4-d-M8LWeb900km0F07w5QR-RRXz8UIHk5fuIaPj38jM_2SFhjBjkki_uq8wZRYGjyogDwH8BmBLPvfJ_fmjs8BYKbGjiQVScv7Dh8uzrY My current level 32 passive tree. http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgQABIcFLQz3G_ovzDJOOlJAoEd-TUZeE185YEthUmLsZU107XrvhNmE74ZgivCPmZstqZWsr7CruR29Nr6nwL_BgsSC6UbvTg== Can someone take a moment and tell me what I will lose/gain compared of the passive path of this threads main builds, and further make suggestions on Attack Choices and changes? I am low enough atm that I can take a different route (repair my build with respec points etc...) or make a variant of your build. I have no legacy gear to be clear. Once again thank you for taking the time to give me your feedback. Last edited by Yipp#2579 on Jan 12, 2015, 1:53:40 PM

Not at all. That video showcases the safest way to do the trio. The ranged boss, then the cyclone and then the dual strike guy. Swap in an anvil after killing titty bitch. No need to even cast immortal call, because of aegis regen.
For try, for see, and for know.
This is a buff |
