Nice rings, but even then I struggle to see how to cap resistances. Did you spend a lot of points on res? Despite that, I definitely want to try it out.

EDIT: Forgot to add the other downside of facebreakers: 3 gem slots lost :( For me, this is losing a CWDT setup (not too essential) which is slightly annoying, but OK>

Yeah defenses are the clear cost of running FB over a weapon, although with FB you don't have to grab any weapon damage nodes to get decent dps. Resistances are not as bad as you might think. From the tree and your set pieces of gear you get:

Sentinel: +10 all
Diamond Skin: +15 all
Sanctuary: +12 all
Elemental Resistance with Shields (2 nodes): +16 all
Life and Elemental Resistances: +3 all
Barbarism: +8 fire
Rainbowstrides: +20 all
Meginord's Girdle: +13 cold
Aegis: +10 all

For a total of 94% fire resistance, 99% cold resistance, and 86% lightning resistance. That means that, in additional to flat physical damage, you need:

42% fire resistance, 41% cold resistance, and 49% lightning resistance

on your rings to acheive the ideal 76/80/75 resistances, which is not that bad when divided over two rings.. This will mean you're vulnerable to elemental weakness, but that's part of the price you pay for running facebreakers.

Everybody is posting nice dps numbers, but since this was originially supposed to be a super - tank build, I would be also interested in some def numbers(dmg reduction, hp). The facebreaker and cyclone variants look interesting, but i tried cyclone and i think that the higher dps comes with lot lower defense.

I wanted to make the build tankier for end game maps - at lvl 91 I have 50% reduction and 5,1k hp. (Static strike dps is 27,5 k).

I currently have 3.5k life and 52% phys reduction at level 82, which jumps to 64% with three endurance charges (generated with endurance charge on melee stun). If you're scared about running with a life pool under 5k, this might not be the build for you (unless you have godly flat phys high life tri-res rings).

EDIT:

Turns out I forgot to get the Piety's Pets reward on Normal difficulty, so the two extra nodes now put me at 3.6k life and 53% reduction.

Cyclone gives a lot of inherent defensiveness. Constant motion means you are constantly dodging. Also, you are immune to stun and knockback. The higher dps means that mobs have less of an opportunity to even touch you.
For try, for see, and for know.

This is a buff

Thanks for the info, it really doesn´t sound like the build that i was looking for.

Currently at lvl 89 with 5k hp+784 es. I've decided to drop IR in favor of more damage. It's just preference. This brings my armor down quite low to 3.7k - 26% reduction @lvl 89 (Should only do this if you have legacy Aegis due to low armor). Trash mobs/rares are no problem due to high block/kill speed. If I need physical dmg mitigation, I just run Spell Echo+End Cry and Immortal Call but this is only for some bosses.

Currently I'm using Physical to Lightning to support Static Strike, boosting dps to ~40k with HoA(+inc burn+prof), HoT, and Hatred. Then using +1 curse on Stone of Laz, I run a Static Strike+Curse on Hit+Ele Weakness+Conductivity. No idea what real dps is, but rares/bosses just melts in seconds.

Mana isn't an issue due to mana leech from Reckoning/Riposte and Tetsudo passive.

Just got to 67 with that bringer, really helped me offensively and defensively, wondering how much tooltip dps I should be having (haven't picked up giant axe cluster yet)

hey folks, what auras are you running? Is herald of ice really worth it? gives me only 300 more dps.

edit:
btw i got a voll's devotion. would i be able to use this somehow?

edit2:

hey guys, this is my first time with level 20 gems. I have level 20 added fire, level 20 reduced mana, and level 20 herald of ash. Should I GCP them? is it really worth 20% quality? please advise as I have never done the gcp gemming before. thank you!

No one even mentioned using herald of ice. Use herald of ash. Voll's is totally useless. And yes, use the GCP + level 20 gem recipe for those gems.
Using offensive curses sounds like a good idea (I am currently using enfeeble, but it´s probably unnecessary for most maps). Which one would be better with only 1 curse, ele weakness or conductivity?

Elemental Weakness will give you more damage if you're using Hatred+HoA. If not, then conductivity due to the chance to shock.
