I just wanted to thank you for everything that you're doing here. You obviously don't have to do any of this but you're helping us a lot. I will pray to Kuduku for you.

Thanks!

Is it really necessary to go for voll's now when we have assassin's ascendancy point? Groups generate charges very fast but it might be a tiny bit problematic against bosses that don't have minions.

Also, what do you think about elementalist point?

Can anyone link an updated passive tree for this build?

Open Terronoid's profile and under characters search World_Of_Ashes

On my scion I kept the tree the same. Was able to drop some crit since I went Zerker/Sin (yes, Sin over Inquisitor for consistency.) Scion is one of the solid class picks since we can drop LL in our armor for another spell, which is really powerful. Still haven't rolled my stupid Voll's correctly though -.-

I'll likely update after I get bored of The Division. :P

I can at least put up something about the new classes this weekend.

Please mate take my energy to update this build.

I bet are hundreds F5ing this thread everyday :)

Btw any tip for leveling purpose? Currently going orb of storms and spark. Doing ok.
I'm having a great dilemma between voll's and belly of the beast. I've never used voll's so I don't know how much of a difference it makes compared to other armors. With assassin's ascendancy point I generate power charges on first few packs and they do not dissipate till the end of the map so I'm not sure if I would benefit much from voll's. Specific boss fights would surely be easier. I realize that before 2.2 it was mandatory due to pc generation. I have 5100 hp with no chest armor and belly of the beast can pump it up to 6000. It's a huge buff, therefore, my dilemma.

All I can say is don't switch to crit too fast. I did it as soon as I got my coc gem and it was waaay to fast. You'll have trouble farming docks with that. Just level with whatever feels comfortable to you up until you start merciless (or complete 2nd labyrinth and take assassin's point for great crit buff). The rest is in the guide. For passive tree look for Terrornoid's profile. Make sure to get to witch area as fast as you can and prioritize crit nodes. Take hp as necessary. I'm currently lvl 85 and I'm having a blast.
Sorry for lack of an update guys. Seasons are switching and thus, it's time to get sick for a while.

Okay, questions...

There are some Ascendancies that remove the requirement of Voll's Protector (Witch Occultist being one, for example.) My personal opinion: I will never run a setup that can only generate power charges against packs of monsters (like sustaining off CoH + Assassin's Mark). If it can't reliably generate charges against a single target [Boss], it's not worth it to me. With that said, there are other Ascendancies that can do it really well off packs.

Elementalist is just fine for Wand CoC. It's a bit more niche, since you may be doing stuff like the golem node + Ice Golem + cold spells or something, but it's powerful. Elemental Conflux is crazy. Just keep in mind that Mastermind of Discord does NOT work with CoC, as CoC neither "uses" nor "casts" spells.

Thanks for the Energy Teff. Maybe that's why I haven't been completely dead these few weeks. :P

Leveling can be done as any standard spell build. IIRC, I leveled with Dual Wand Glacial Cascade. I'd also imagine you could do something fun like a weird Trypanon version for giggles; walk up to all the crit nodes while focusing health and pound them out at 60-70 and switch. You can also start CoC earlier now than you used to be able to (it used to start at like 20% chance or something like that.)

As far as armors go, see first paragraph. If you are okay with some unreliable generation for bosses, swap it by all means. I just can't bring myself to do that. Keep in mind you can also go Ascendant with Berserker/Assassin and switch the Life Leech that was in your 6 Link to Power Charge on Crit. The real answer is to just get Skyforths though. lol

I'll try to update sometime in the near future.

Alright guys, here's a sneak peak until I update the main page.

Top Classes (in no order):
Ascendant
Assassin
Inquisitor
Pathfinder
Deadeye
Occultist
Elementalist

Source for info on CoC proc type.

Witch:
Necromancer - Nothing outright useful. Niche usefulness, e.g. Mistress of Sacrifice/Bone Offering block version or some wierd SRS CoC that hasn't been invented yet (Edit: Raiz did it.)

Occultist - Forbidden Power, Profane Bloom, Malediction
- ???: Is Forbidden Power enough to replace Voll's Protector?
- Good equally with Ele and Phys version.
- No nodes are bad, though Void Beacon is more niche than the others.
- Good candidate for an ES version if you want to sacrifice the damage nodes.

Elementalist - Pendulum of Destruction/Paragon of Calamity/Liege of the Primordal, Shaper of Desolation, Beacon of Ruin
- Mastermind of Discord does NOT work with CoC (Triggers are not "used").
- All nodes are good, choose depending on your specific case.
- Ele version exclusive (even though Shaper of Desolation works with Physical Damage).

Shadow:
Assassin - Unstable Infusion, Deadly Infusion, Ambush/Toxic Delivery
- ???: Is Unstable Infusion enough to replace Voll's Protector? Probably only vs packs.
- ???: Can Noxious Strike cause Poison and Maim with non-attacks?
- Ambush is great for clearing packs with Barrage CoC since only the nearest few central mobs are hit in a pack.
- Toxic Delivery reduces Blood Rage and Righteous Fire self-damage.
- Good equally with Ele and Phys.

Saboteur - Blinding Assault, Born in the Shadows, Explosives Expert/Bomb Specialist (cheesy)
- ???: Does Blinding Assault have the ability to blind on spell hit?
- Possible room for Bomb Specialist damage/aoe cheese.
- ???: Can you run far enough from placed traps/mines to perma-cheese with Bomb Specialist?
- Probably better as Ele.

Trickster - Shade Form, Ghost Dance, Walk the Aether/Swift Killer
- Walk the Aether for Cyclone/etc., Swift Killer for else, most likely.
- Weave the Arcane and Patient Reaper seem useless for most CoC builds (there is a Patient Reaper, Righteous Fire, Writhing Jar, Life Regen Synergy).
- Weave the Arcane will NOT recharge mana on CoC procs (Triggers are not "used").
- Pretty "meh" overall. Not the best, not the worst.
- Equally good with Ele and Phys.

Templar:
Inquisitor - Inevitable Judgement, Righteous Providence, Augury of Penitence
- Instruments of Virtue will NOT work with CoC (Triggers are not "cast").
- Inevitable Judgement is REALLY strong (~30% more damage to ~300%+ more damage, though, it is in the sense of gaining damage back, and not outright increase.)
- Inevitable Judgement is a resistance modifier, and as such, will modify resists AFTER curses and EE.
- Consecrated Ground useless for Vaal Pact users and mostly useless for Acuities users given high clear speed.
- Ele variant exclusive.

Hierophant - Illuminated Devotion, Pursuit of Faith, Conviction of Power
- ???: Does Conviction of Power grant Endurance Charges for Power Charge gains outside of the node?
- ???: Potential for infinite Immortal Call if Conviction of Power works with Voll's Protector (Needs Discharge or Cold Snap.)
- Ideal candidate for a "secondary" CoC link (single vs. group), potential second 6 link with CoC Corruption.
- Effective with both Ele and Physical (Helm can have Ele Pen).

Guardian - Radiant Faith, Unwavering Faith/Prayer of Glory, Bastion of Hope
- Decent low-life CoC option.
- Harmony of Purpose and Discharge Party for GPU Genocide.
- Best paradoxical Ascendancy for CoC (who parties with CoC?)
- Equally effective with Ele and Phys.

Ranger:
Deadeye - Fast and Deadly, Ricochet, Powerful Precision/Sharp and Venomous (cheeseh)
- Sharp and Venomous is cheesy, but okay if Pierce from Powerful Precision is too much.
- Endless Munitions is great, but ultimately costs a node because...
- Far Shot does NOT work with spells.
- Must use projectile based proccers/spells.
- Arrow Pierce Chance includes regular pierce chance.
- Equally effective with Phys and Ele.

Raider - Can be used, but not generally worth it (too attack based, though the Phasing bit might've had decent synergy with pre-nerf CoC Frost Wall.)

Pathfinder - Master Herbalist/Veteran Bowyer, Master Surgeon, Natures Adrenaline
- Obvious powerful choice, and will be popular, but weak at league start since power is currency (Flask) based.
- Master Herbalist/Veteran Bowyer depending on primary damage type.
- Physical Damage stronger than Ele (Poison, Taste of Hate, etc.)

Marauder:
Juggernaut - Undeniable,, Unbreakable, Unyielding, Unflinching, Unrelenting
- There are a few combos here based on skill choice and preference.
- Unrelenting will reduce Righteous Fire damage.
- Unbreakeable somewhat devalued by proximity to Unwavering Stance.
- Works equally well with Ele or Phys.

Berserker - Aspect of Carnage, Crave the Slaughter, Pain Reaver/Rite of Ruin/War Bringer
- This class is almost completely outclassed by Scion's version.
- ???: Does Writhing Jar with Pain Reaver grant free Life Leech gem?
- Really unstable/unreliable bonuses, which is risky.
- Cloaked in Savagery/CWDT+Spell combo might be a good defense.
- Rite of Ruin will reduce Righteous Fire damage.
- Crave the Slaughter can potentially mess up CoC breakpoints (whatever the heck they are (GGG PLS) /salt)
- Balanced between Ele and Phys.

Chieftan - Ngamahu, Flame's Advance, Ramako, Sun's Light, Hinekora, Death's Fury
- This is an odd one. WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO DO THIS.
- Best used for "easy" Righteous Fire (requires Acuities.)
- Potential to remove the need for Life Leech via Hinekora, Death's Fury and Fire Leech Master Mods.
- Somewhat weakened by Fire spell choices.
- Fire Elemental exclusive.

Duelist:
Slayer - Please don't. Opportunity cost is too high to try and turn this one around.

Gladiator - Painforged, Versatile Combatant, Gratuitous Violence/Violent Retaliation
- ???: With Outmatch and Outlast, do the spells cast from CoC count as mainhand or offhand?
- Block route is what will shine here, as it's easier to get damage with other Ascendancies.
- Physical slightly better than ele due to damage increases and the nature of Spell Block countering Phys Reflect easier than other options.

Champion - Unstoppable Hero, Fortitude, Inspirational/First to Strike, Last to Fall
- ???: With First to Strike, Last to Fall, will the burning from Righteous Fire be removed on reaching low-life?
- ???: Will Worthy Foe cause a minimum duration stun if proc'd, even though damage is too low to stun at all?
- Potential stun-lock super cheese with Worthy Foe, depending on the above, given the nature of many, many "hits" with CoC.
- Equally effective with Phys and Ele.

Scion:
Starter nodes: Can't say they will be too useful, as it's more for niche builds that need to go to two completely opposite sides. Ironically, we sort-of do, but there's good stuff along the way for us.

Witch:
Necromancer - Probably never useful.
Occultist - Solid for ES/CI versions. Essence Drain CoC? Maybe?
Elementalist - Decent. Try to synergize with your Golem.

Shadow:
Assassin - Top tier. Nice to help out Wand CoC to keep us off the horrid Wand Wheel for crit chance. Might be able to sustain Power Charges alone?
Saboteur - Probably never useful.
Trickster - May find niche usefulness.

Templar:
Inquisitor - Decent despite some wonkiness with Consecrated Ground and post-crit crit gains. Assassin gives more reliable crits, RF+Cyclone+CoC is an exception.
Hierophant - Probably never useful.
Guardian - Doesn't seem powerful enough to use.

Ranger:
Deadeye - Top tier. Great for GMP/AB/FB/etc. based versions.
Raider - It's okay. Probably better stuff elsewhere.
Pathfinder - Solid pick. A little niche.

Marauder:
Juggernaut - Might be taken for Stun Immunity. Probably not.
Berserker - God tier. It's another link in our 6 link, which means another spell, and more craziness. I'd get this 10/10 times.
Chieftan - Too totem-y.

Duelist:
Slayer - Not the worst, but you'll probably never take it.
Gladiator - Actually a solid choice if you like block.
Champion - Probably never useful.
