Mathil's FlameDab (Crit flameblast) Atziri & reflect/hc viable

In torment I opted to start with templar, because the abundance of hp and regen nodes close to templar start makes earlier levels very easy with horrible gear. I also took heart of flame cluster instead of holy fire cluster. At around level 45 i started to take crit nodes. After i get myself a second high crit dagger at level 55 i could start dabbing. Its very nice and easy solo, however when i party my little dabs cant shock anymore so whole cast on crit engine became useless. Therefore in parties i switch inc crit damage with chance to ignite and channel few more stacks.
I also carry searing bond for bosses. It distracts and deals 2k dps with all the fire nodes i have.

I could not manage to run AA yet and could not get a CODT gem so its generally run,dub,always pot, dub more.

My FB is in a 4 link with fire pen, proliferation and increased crit damage. crit chance is close to 50 with 4 charges.

I'm running a variant on this too.
Went mainly into life and mana regen nodes early for some survivability - though not working out exactly like that as I haven't got very good gear, so still not much life, and can only turn AA on briefly.

I might prefer sikat's routing though, but will need quite a few respec points to re-route. Might just stick it out, although it does leave me not getting crit up until very late.

I've not got much crit yet - so am still using flammability. I have switched out my chance to ignite for conc effect though, just works better for me. Plus I'm using cloak of flame, so get a bit of extra ignite chance anyway.
Life might be an issue running cloak of flame and either voidbringers or maligaro's later. Definitely will need life on a belt, so no Doryani's invitation for me. Though might go Carcass Jack later too.
I do find myself having to channel a few stacks most of the time, due to lack of crit, which is dangerous and a bit slower. Sure things will get smoother with more crit and a levelled flameblast soon though.
I did find myself a early on though - which helps a fair bit.
I've been trying to run a fairly pure flameblast build too - may have been better having a 'filler' skill alongside, firetraps or tendrils maybe.

But overall pretty efficient with cheap gear - not rolling though like I did with my bow build last league but still strong, and I am sure it will only get more so.
Will update once I gear up a bit and hit maps.

Doing this in torment and pretty easy leveling with FIRETRAP+flameblast, stacked dmg early on and rushed to kill piety and died like 30 times on mercy (lvl 61) :D now lvl66 and can do 66-68 maps easy. Started to taking mana nodes so maybe someday i can run AA and not being so squishy+saving currency to carcass for extra dmg.

Ofc gear can be improved here and there, still its already working fine! :)
Especially the Vaal Flameblast is quite funny to play with, maybe i try to chrome my
chest to a free green slot, so i can put Arctic Armor in there and link my Vaal FB to
a Crit gem as well.

Just how do u get the Dexterity you need for this build?
I had to pick up some dex gear and take a +30 dex node as well.
And the ele reflect works ok - until you start charging up a huge flameblast
-> instant rip! :p



Any recommendations for rings/amu/helmet/boots (also for some higher budget) that fit nicely into this build?

I'm running vaal flameblast too - I had a spare slot and found one in the first corrupted zone I ran.
It's fun - makes you feel a bit like Atziri firing off 2 flameblasts! Plus useful sometimes as you can detonate it under a nasty pack. I fire it before opening strongboxes too, if I have it charged up. Not linked to anything, and doubt I would have the spare slots to do so - not even sure what I'd link it too, It's going to be a coin toss if it crits or not so prolif/crit damage/inc burning probably wouldn't help half the time. Chance to ignite and/or fire pen I guess. Is the interaction with spell echo the same as normal flameblast? Or do you get 2 separate blasts? That would be nice!

Its just 2 blasts, one following the other quickly :P

I link it to conc effect, crits and echo now.
And combined with a fully charged normal flameblast nearly every mapboss just falls apart instantly (as long as u get a crit ofc :P ).

Just "oneshotted" a residence dominus..

I tried the first time today with this char and kinda failed :d
Accidently instakilled a Vaal, so the other one went crazy and spanked my butt.

Same with the 2nd Boss. Wanted to kill the tittybitch and accidently killed the other
guy as well. Third one went crazy and i bled to death, since I didnt realize he's the only one left.

And with Atziri: im not used to play without any whirlingblades or leap slam, so i ripped at split phase (probably to a lack of experience with a warper/quicksilver flasker).
Seems like i gotta try more often!

Since i tried out Windscream boots, I dont wana change this anymore. Even more insane clearing speed and dmg output!

I'm enjoying this build in Bloodlines! It has good clear speed, but to be honest, I don't quite feel safe enough. I have 4.3 life + 1.1k ES, and a CWDT setup, but I feel not as safe as I would like.

I was thinking of going hybrid life/es. I'd drop the Carcass, go for a nice hybrid chest, and getting some of the nearby big ES nodes (about 80% increased ES for just 8 or 9 points or something like that). What do you guys think? The sacrifice is no Carcass and also no concentrated effect, since without Carcass we probably can't use conc. effect.

my build is doing really fine in torment, yesterday i killed atziri without any problems.
srsly, that was too easy!
i really dont want to post a video, because this looks like a must nerf build.

i expected much (i knew that mathil did some mistakes in his theorycrafting (my opinion) thats why i tried to get everything out of this build), but that much power, wow, this is retarted srsly (oneshot trio as an example).

my gear right now:



(incr. burning or fire penetration, both gems are great, for atzi i used ofc fire pen)

defense:
4k life
lvl 17 arctic armour
purity of fire
purity of lightning

and as you can see, i play with echo - yep, this is really efficient.
if you 1 tap, you just have 2 stacks instead of 1 stack.
so, with crit damage i have around 11k tooltip damage, but with echo around 8k, but 2 stacks are 16k dps so the average damage is a lot higher!
anyway, hopefully i will get this fucking 6 link to see the whole potential.

right now i try to get a 6 link carcass
610 fusings STILL NO FUCKING 5 LINK, SRSLY WHAT THE FUCK
seems like a 4k fusings armor until 6link :(
