[1.3 Video Guide] Tanky Beginners End-Game Viable Crit Ice-Shot-Puncture Build! [HC/SC Viable]

Fantastic! With 6l it shreds the game. Amazing! Good job!

With 5l ice and 4l puncture no problems with 75-76 maps. Ice shoot is 25k dps, punct 15k dps. If u r soloing this build is melting everything, if u r in party mobs have more hp, burning is slower and other aoe builds kill them faster. Some mobs r immune to elem dmg and its little problematic when u face pack of immune ones. If u have bad bow, u will have bad dps, u need 1-2ex bow.

Is this build doable on HC without a Coil?

Playing this build in BL atm, reached 64 and did some 66-67 maps and i have some stuff to say:

Build feels solid in my opinion BUT its very weak towards fast mobs (Those who played this build and encountered a Phylacterial Link monkey pack in Tropical Island know what i mean) which leads me to second point

Phylacterial link is the biggest enemy for the build cause you cant leech from them and if its a fast pack aswell, Youre in for several minutes of kiting and running and even spending portals to refill flasks.

Ice shot in my opinion falls off really hard in wide area maps but its Excellent in Maps like Ledge

I belive its best to have Both Tornado shot and Ice shot setups avaible, Now i know that link colors are bit different for these two, but ice shot works well on 4L and if you have a 5L you can run Tornado shot and Ice shot gems, obviously not at once but you could always level the gems u dont need in swap anyway. Basically, i'd recommend running the Tornado shot setup for wider maps and Ice shot setup for maps like Ledge

Hi, stuff like blink arrow is new to me. Are these used for mobility in this build? If not, would it be a good idea to add them?


Also, I'm reccing this build for my brother, but he's bothered by the gender-bound class choices, so I'm modifying it for a Shadow start; I suppose Duelist could work too, but the quest rewards for a duelist would gimp his progression.

Can I level as an archer from the get go?

And I assume its possible to use the core build (tree) but run, say, Split arrow or LA instead of Ice shot?

Lastly, I'm curious about the choice of Herald of Ash/Prolif/Inc. Burn Wouldn't it be better to use Herald of Ice for the shatter damage?

1. Duelist and shadow can both work :)

2. You can level as an archer from the beginning, but it would probably be a little slower compared to getting spectral throw for instance.

3. You can run both: tornado shot, split arrow and lightning arrow with this skill-tree. The skill links would have to be changed though of course.

4. Since ice-shot deals slow but very hard hitting crits the overkill damage is awesome for herald of ash. It is much preferred to Herald of Ice :)

It is. But I would still recommend getting a Lightning Coil :)

Moe_187 from twitch here, glad to see you contribute an Ice Shot build! Might have to try this out, have not had much time to invest into this game as of late, but looks like I found a build I could play around with, might have to try using a dirty old Voll's Protector and go to town lol. As always, I am impressed Bro. Skål!

Pretty fun build. Feels pretty strong. I'm now starting to map and have 3k tooltip on pierce and iceshot. 45% crit and a lightning coil. You need to get used to kiting "correctly" to pull mobs into a line and light them up with a huge overkill crit iceshot then watch everything burn. One good tip for people not in the know is to craft yourself a decimation bow using the vendor phys recipe. Even one with crap other rolls on the regal will carry you to the point of finding a harbinger bow and crafting it using the same method. If you have no clue what I'm talking about check out Ziggys video on bow crafting.

Hey bro! Very descent build, I really like your guides mainly the Searing Bond / Templar build.

Btw, I would like to know if a Scion character may use this guild, maybe taking from the Sentinel passive skill, what do you think? I am worried about the gems too.
