[1.3 Video Guide] Tanky Beginners End-Game Viable Crit Ice-Shot-Puncture Build! [HC/SC Viable]

Mana was also the most annoying part for me. I am currently using a Mana Leech gem to solve that because that leeches from all AoE Ice damage instead of just the physical damage from a tiny arrow hitting 1 or 2 mobs. At level 53 I'll have a bow with nice phys dps, I hope 2% normal phys dmg mana leech will be sufficient then :).

How much crit chance did you guys feel you 'need' at level 53+?

I just got Lethality and King of the Hill and became level 53 so I could switch to my bow to increase my crit nicely (yes the bow's implicit mod will be rerolled):


I walked out of town and mobs died very quickly. I have not really played much since the switch, but I started wondering:

- at how much crit chance & multiplier would you go for Phase Acrobatics, Thick Skin or Piercing Shots first instead of continuing to grab crit nodes for 20-30 levels like LNB's levelling order guideline from the video?

Current stats with HoA and Hatred (my friend runs the Hatred, I will later run Grace):
- Ice Shot, 32.6% chance to crit, 261% crit multi, 5155 DPS
- Puncture 43.1% chance to crit,353% crit multi, 4483 DPS
- 2760 HP, 46% chance to evade (it's a Bloodlines character btw)

It can, you simply need to exit through the physical damage nodes and into the remainder of the displayed ranger tree :)

I just wanted to say I love this build :).

Level 74 now. After I posted at level 53 I went for Piercing Shot, Acrobatics, the rest of the normal crit choices, then Harrier, Thick Skin. The crit feels tasty versus tight groups, but versus stragglers and fast bosses a higher chance would be sweet.

The mana issues were also solved with a good bow and 1% mana leech. However, 2% would be better, now and then I run out of mana (shooting several separate quick moving mobs is terrible for leeching for exmaple), so I can't completely without mana on my flasks, I have 1 hybrid.

Hi there. Thx for the Guide. Just hit lvl 66 and finished the story. Now going for some maps.

The build is strong and lets me kill stuff quickly, BUT i struggle with single target and boss damage. Puncture isn't that strong at the moment for me. Any suggestions?

Has anyone tried Entropy for 45% extra damage over time for Herald of Ash and Puncture. It is only 4 skill tree points and i think Herald of Ash with support is very strong.

Running Hatred and Herald of Ash, i got 14k ice shot and 11k puncture.

Got this really sick bow yesterday for 40chaos as 4L5S and 5-linked it with only 5 fuses ;)
The rest of the gear has to be optimized, i know.
