[2.5] Tempada's Dreamfeather Lightning Flurry Raider: Acro, Alpha's/Blood Dance/QotF, 200k+ DPS

Wouldn't static strike be better than cleave for this build?

It still double hits, just like cleave, so you get the same amount of procs for your auras.

However, you also get some phys-> lightning conversion, which will multiply with your WED. Whereas cleave just deals phys, which "wastes" some damage.

You could also run Phys-> lightning instead of Added Lightning for full damage conversion. Not sure how much better that is DPS-wise, though.

Killed Dom cruel last night. First form was no prob. But second,, I didnt' bring a decoy totem so, i rip once XD.

Btw, @Tempada, can you post the gem setup. I think the OP has two curses on it. I guess, conductivity for easy mapping, poacher's if you need life on hit?

Yeah, so for Cast when Damage Taken I use two setups:

CwDT lvl 7 + Poacher's Mark/Enfeeble/Warlord's Mark lvl 9 + Enduring Cry lvl 9 (in a sword)

CwDT lvl 7 + Immortal Call lvl 8 + Increased Duration + Vaal Haste/Vaal Grace (in boots or gloves)

I leveled using Enfeeble in that first setup, but once I got a 6L and could link Life Leech to Cleave, I didn't really need it anymore, so I changed to Poacher's Mark for a little bit of life on hit and for the frenzy charges (you really need a quality Poacher's Mark for the frenzy charges to occur enough to be worthwhile). Warlord's Mark is another option for survivability.

The second curse I use is offensive and unleashed only when I Leap Slam into an enemy:

Leap Slam + Faster Attacks + Curse on Hit + Conductivity

Conductivity is used so that I have a higher chance to shock enemies (you get 10% shock chance from a quality Added Lightning Damage gem), plus most of my damage is lightning-based anyway (I made sure to get flat lightning damage on gear), so lowering an enemy's lightning resist is great.

Lvl54 now. Spent a ~little bit of currency since I'm having fun melting mobs.,



Resist not capped but, so far so good, kills fast. Leap slam fast. Can't wait for QotF.
Never knew how much dps those aura/buff nodes can give. 7k tooltip dps now, running 2 herals and hatred.



Tried Atziri earlier with my other toon (RF incinerate), but I only got up to killing two of the trio. Fight involves a lot of running. Wonder what strategy to take for this build.

So... I have an alternate tree that might appeal to you:


I'm really excited about this path. Instead of using Grace + Anger + Wrath, you use Grace + Wrath + Herald of Thunder, which frees up some mana so you don't necessarily need Clarity anymore. This frees up a 3-link that could be used for more CwDT links or something like Vengeance + WED + Life Gain on Hit.

I'm hitting over 47k dps with Cleave + Faster Attacks + Multistrike + Weapon Elemental Damage + Added Cold Damage + Added Lightning Damage, and I don't feel like I need the Life Leech gem at all (except maybe in reflect maps because hitting a reflect pack in a reflect map can be painful). In terms of 5L damage, I get 40k dps when I remove Added Cold Damage and 35k when I leave Added Cold and remove Multistrike.

lvl63 now. i can use QotF now but, not worth it yet I think. not unless all my gear is evasion.



I'm melting everything that moves on Docks. except for the boss, (i'll try brining a ruby flask).
Can't wait to hit 70.



@Tempada, tree looks good. I'm just a noob though, so can't give critic feedback. I did try to count the points spent: seems more efficient. And more resists, good for ele weakness maps.

btw, how did you color your QotF? I spent a lot coloring mine, around ~60 chromes. I hope the gloves will give mercy on my chromes.

I got lucky with my chest. I used Vorici's two red recipe and got my RRRGGB colors on the third try. I think using one of Vorici's two color recipes (red-red or even red-blue) is the best way to go.

Tried playing around with Rebuke of the Vaal, zzzz, i'm getting ripped bec i can't kill fast enough.

Wait, is this the case with your build right now? I noticed that you didn't take Acrobatics in your last tree update. Take it! Along with Phase Acrobatics if you can fit it in. And wear Queen of the Forest! Even if the chest socket colors aren't quite right yet, the damage should still be decent and wearing QotF and taking Acrobatics should make a HUGE difference in survivability.
