For CI Builds you typically want as much ES as possibly, so don't sacrifice ES for resists.

Just know as ES you're probably going to be at a loss of damage since you can't reserve life

With Vis Mortis i got some issues in higher maps (maybe because of the -20% minion life). But with 5 zombies i'm able to run nearly every map mod.

What about 1.3.0 ?

For me the tree will probably look like this:
1.3.0 Hybrid

All minion nodes, 243% ES is an insane amount, plus 115% faster recharge - there is a huge difference between a shield with 3s until recharge and default 6s.

Start by picking all hybrid es/life nodes.
Take Heart and Soul at the start, spec out of it later when you will get to lvl 60-68 or so.
I would personally pick up Essense Surge as soon as possible to cut in half the time before ES recharge kicks in. After that just balance picking ES / minion / aura nodes.

Try to get all gear as ES or hybrid ES which also has +life.

If you can, get a Searing Touch and use Fire Traps in it, until your minions become tanky enough to handle most content. Then you can just use Aurumvorax + shield, until you can get either Midnight Bargain or Montregul.

First aura you should pick up and always run is Purity of Elements, which helps with minion survivability.

I'm doing Pohx's build in 1.3 as well. As far as the preceeding 1.3 tree, I'd path the other way to Purity of Flesh and Sovereignty (10 int either way), and then take zealot's oath. My character isn't quite high enough level to do so yet, but with a lot of ES and a little life, it makes too much sense.

Question: With this current tree, Roddy's 1.3 Hybrid at 94 points


(& respec out of cruel preparation getting back four points)

a) Essence Surge 4 points
b) Sanctity & Zealot's oath 6 points
c) Fill in not-taken minion & aura nodes 3 points

how many chroms did u use to get 3red and one blue on ur ES helm?
