If I'm reading this correctly, reduced mana cost nodes will not affect auras then?

It does affect auras. I am running 3 x 40% auras in the mana pool and I still have enough mana to cast curses and totems

Correct, but Reduced Mana Reservation nodes will affect their cost (which is probably what Baalat was referring to).

Really enjoy my summoner and some things i do because i really dislike having my spectres killed since that is the biggest timesink as summoner.

Vitality aura really helps keeping minions alive, very obvious when running it vs not running it. At first look it seems really weak but i run it all the time. Minions have no regen so giving them that makes sure you go into the next fight at full minion life.

Life leech on spectres as 5th gem (got 5-link) really improved my flame sentinels lifespan. Made them tough enough to even start tanking rare mobs like rolling elementals and them bears.
(raise spectre - minion damage - GMP - Concentrated effect - life leech is my setup)

Culling strike on zombies seem to work rly good.

Piety and Oak is handled with skellytotem and added chaos damage, it takes time but its safe looking at them being slowly withered away by minion instability.

A nice item for keeping mobs both debuffed and your damage curse up.

If you're an HP-based summoner who is specced into the Body and Soul nodes (and lots of us fit those two qualifications) then that helm is very, very good. I would say the only thing it is missing is some mana or MF love. Nice one!
