Current (experimental) 2-curse gear/gem setup using Blood Magic supports:

Replacing Life Leech with Blood Magic and relying on the 1% lightning leech on the dagger makes it a little more risky against single-targets, but it usually works out.

Passives:

It's really annoying to have to stop to curse things and get charges and cast blood rage and all the other things that would increase your deeps if you only didn't have to stand there for a second not doing mad deeps.

With this build, you only have to pause to Discharge other than when you die (which will probably happen often).

Each time you use a Doedre's Elixir, you cast 8+ spells, probably maxing out your power charges and quad-cursing anything near you. If you run Enduring Cry without Immortal Call, you can get 11 total charges (7+1+3) if you're standing near a pack.

Credit for the original Blood Magic Discharger goes to ghudda.

Stuff you need for this build to work at all:

(4L Voll's is ok. Don't need quality gems)

+ 4x Cast when Damage Taken (3 if you're using a staff), all at lv1
+ ~3.2k HP (so your Doedre's Elixir actually does enough damage to proc your CwDTs)
+ As many different spells as you can fit in your sockets, preferably ones that are curses, hit multiple times, or have a high crit chance
+ Blood Magic, from tree or from Malachai's Simula

Stats:
Offense (60k without the endurance charges):
Spoiler

Defense (lololol):
Spoiler

Things you can do to make this cheaper (works well even with 1ex of gear):
  • Facebreaker for Voidbringer (this actually increases your DPS but you lose some consistency)
  • Shield with resists+spell crit if you can't get enough resists from your jewelry
  • 4L Voll's - you don't really need the 5th link (but you really want it)
  • Any ring over Doedre's if you don't care about the quad-curse and need things like resists
  • Blood Dance for Windscream; again, if you don't care about multiple curses, or if you don't want to run Blood Rage

Not going Blood Magic:
If you craft lightning leech onto your weapon(s) and get a lightning Doryani's Invitation, you might leech enough to be able to skip Life Leech on your 5L.

At that point, you could support with Blood Magic or Mana Leech, skip Malachai's Simula/BM keystone (and take EB instead), and do things with your newfound mana. Like...

Herald of Ice:
The on-kill effect can crit and get you some extra power charges on kill, which is useful if your Discharge doesn't crit. Never mind, it can't crit. It'll also make all of the damage spells linked to CwDT do minor amounts of damage.

Arctic Armour:
If you link this to CwDT, you don't have to care about it expiring due to lack of mana since it'll be recast whenever your CwDT is triggered.

Haste:
More deeps.

Random thoughts and build variations
  • If you link CwDT to Portal on your weapon swap, you can insta-cast portal by swapping and using an elixir.

  • Try using this

with Immortal Call somewhere on a CwDT link.

You'll curse enemies to reflect physical damage with the first projectiles, and then the following projectiles will be reflected to trigger CwDT, which then triggers Immortal Call so you don't 1-shot yourself. Probably should try this right after you've leveled.

  • If you're playing this build in a league that has access to The Harvest unique (BeyondStandard), that's pretty much the best item ever for this build. You lose tons of damage since you'll be missing crit multiplier/spell damage, but you'll have insane flask uptime and global life leech on all of your spells.

(Waiting for leagues to end so I can use this...)

Why Poachers Mark? For the Frenzy Charges on kill? Warlords would be better IMO as the Life/Mana leech work with spells and that way you can also have endurance charges.

honestly like this build, just wish it wasn't assured death lol
I really like the Idea of this build! :)

Maybe you can boost it's defences by not getting the blood magic helmet and investing 2 points to get EB and you might run arctic armour. However it might be difficult to sustain the High manacost of Discharhe when using voidbringer+voll's protector
I just spent like 10 mins creating this passive tree:

It's mostly for flask charges - I've found that the increase in flask uptime from Poacher's Mark makes the build play more smoothly than the extra leech/endurance charges from Warlord's Mark.

It's hard to get both life leech and mana leech, and I don't think just EB+Discipline+Clarity will sustain discharge by themselves, though I haven't tried or done the math. At some point I will probably try using mana at some point by getting lightning leech on my non-Divinarius dagger and wearing a lightning Doryani's belt to free up the life leech for mana leech. (Probably won't ever be able to run a meaningful level of AA though)
Great build. Slowly leveling another Shadow for this.
very nice idea!
maybe u can try to get more life? would have to lvl up CWDT though

Added my current gear, attempting to use BM supports instead of Malachai's Simula. It's k, but I'm only really getting Haste out of it at the moment, so not sure if it's worth it.
fun build I've adapted for Standard. +1
So tell us how this works out!
