2.3 Fakener (budget fake Mjölner) build - Trickster Version

I used the search feature and I was able to find lots of useful information. I wasn't able to find an updated gear and passive tree for the ci scion build. It's definitely possible that I missed it.

Would anyone be able post it or refer me to where I can find it?

Thanks

EDIT: I've found the leveling breakdown that alvuimil posted several pages back. Is that tree the most up-to-date tree for the CI scion variation? Also, as far as gear recommendations go, would anything change for the scion or is it best to go with OP's gear for the trickster CI.

PAGE 169, this is how i played my CI Trickster. Though i changed to SCION Lowlife.
Gears would be the same for both, except for Elreon Rings for Scion, and maybe some mana on hit jewel

I switched to Coc at lv 41 (lvl req for my Vagan Poignard) Facerolled all content to merc with 25-30% all ress, 2k hp, 1,5k ES (take all hp u can from tree, respec later). Did Cruel > Merc with no problems. I'd say 5L Voll and Vagan Dagger is a must if u want to lvl with this.

I decided for the Trickster because not only has 0 cost for cyc / whirlwing, also u get some Attack speed / ES % on ur Trickster nodes. "Walk the aether" also gives 20% increased attack speed always ouu use a move speed...The no cost for cyclone allows the use of Vaal Haste, and also using a DOEDRES DAMMING RING to get +1 curse (assasing + warlord) using warlord gives the opportunity to skip LL from chest and add more damage if you have a 6L

What would you recommend upgrading next? Tooltip show's 22K discharge with 6 power and 3 endurance and I have 6.1k ES. I have Maligaro's and Facebreakers which put me at about 25k discharge, but I felt the increased ES was better than the 3k damage increase. Currently level 84.

Should I save to multimod my dagger first, get a high ES rare helmet, or buy fusings and get my Voll's to 6L? With the price of Voll's devotions I'm not looking to buy one. I have been saving every chance orb and white Agate, Lapis, and Amber ammy I find along with buying any Agate's that show up at vendors when I level a character. Once I get 342 agates and chance orbs I run an Anarchy mod and try my luck. Done it once so far about about half way to having enough to do it a second time. One of these times I'll get lucky and chance one.

Edit: I've got 2 6S Voll's so I won't be attempting a 6L on the one I currently wear. That way i don't mess up my 5L in case I run out of fusing before getting a 6L

OK, I think I've finally finished my Fakener character.

Character: WildPolkaroo (my profile should be public)
Discharge dmg: 82.4K (with increased AOE) /100K (with increased crit dmg)
ES: 7615
Charges: 7 power, 5 endurance
Ascendancy: Ascendant, Scion/berserker

Here's my gear. Ignore the life flask, I'll replace that with a Ruby flask one day.

Any recommendations on gear to change/upgrade? I cant really think of any other optimization that wouldn't cost like 10 exa+.

maybe I'm missing something, why do you all use steppan boots? are all high end maps littered with ground effects?

also with shadow and dust glove. is the rampage buff just not worth it? for regular mapping anyway. for bosses id swap out for facebreaker but just curious.

Is this doable as Low Life?

To elaborate on the gear/tree post:
LL would require Skyforths and the Occultist passive giving you a 35% chance rather than a 100% chance for PCoC for Shav's vs Voll's. I suppose if your crit is high enough and your APS on cyclone is insane enough, you could proc enough charges to make it push past the Voll's version... but it would be a bit of a struggle. Also, Vile Bastion is a nice bonus to the Forbidden Power Occultist nodes, but Shade Form from Trickster is a much more appealing passive where ES and general tankiness is concerned.

IMO, If you want to run LL, making an actual Mjolner build would be both more efficient and cheaper.

This is coming from an armchair perspective, I was debating the two myself and this was my thought process: I picked CI.

Wrong about ascendancy class, Low life = Scion (berserker / assasin). You skip LL on gear, so u can add PCharge on Crit (20/20 - 54% + 25% skyforth = 79%)
This is how im lvling my char WITHOUTH voll devotion..still getting higher dps than CI (obviously more expensive)
I will try to update it ASAP, but i dont have enlightens lv 3 yet (this will save like 4 points)
FatherFakener (Trickster Fakener CI)
Severne_I (LowLife Fakener)
Severne_II (Inquisitor Crit Life Storm Caller)

Hello guys, i have a problem my leech is very bad against single target, i dont have problem against packs, but when i fight with Izaro or with other boss i have feeling i dont leech anything, i dont have this problem with my other fakener on Scion. Someone can tell my why? DPS is around 10k with 6 power charges up.

A lot of people have been running voidbringers and or steppan eard mainly because they're budget + high es and 30% movespeed, and many tricksters use purity of fire and purity of lightning with aura affect nodes so you don't need much res. High end ES gear with res was cheap early in league but now not so much for various reasons. The ground effect stuff is just a neat bonus. Voidbringer saves you from having to put any points into spell crit chance, facebreakers save you from needing throatseeker/scion crit multi/ crit multi jewels, shadows and dust sound sick for clear if you don't need more ES but I haven't tried em.

I just did my first T9 map. Was a yellow Residence map. Can't remember the mods on it, but it was real easy. Even Dominus. Some of the mobs took more than one discharge to kill, but my ES never dropped under half and only under 3/4ths a couple of times. So I'm thinking my ES is fine for now and I should focus on more damage so I'll work on getting my 6L.
I made a new shadow character to test this build out and wanted to share what I learnt about it.

Good things:
-This build works straight from the point when you can use your dagger (lvl 53 in my case). You get enough crits to make it feel good from the start. As for the tree, just pick up the crit and some charges before that level and you're good to go.

-I spent roughly 4 ex on this build (except for VD and VP) and got up to 7500 ES at lvl 78 without all the ES nodes, 75% res, 99% crit with 6 power charges and diamond flask. I'd say this is very reasonable for this price.

-I was able to switch to a poacher's mark which makes your flask always full after a single pack of monsters. Permanent flask uptime just feels godly.

-I safely cleared maps up to T11(didn't try higher) with a lvl 78 or lower and lvl 17 gems.

Bad things:
-I found self casting blade vortex annoying, so I bought a 6 link, which solved this issue for me. However, not using an increased area of effect gem makes cleaning all mobs tedious since there are some leftovers on the sides.

-I found using whirling blades and cyclone extremely annoying since you get stuck on every damn rock there is. This was the first build I used that used whirling blades and I don't think I will make another one.

-I bought high ES boots with resists, without any movement speed since I thought moving with whirling blades isn't affected by it. Well, it's not, but cyclone gets so much slower and makes you feel like a slug. I didn't realise this before and buying new boots with similar ES and 30% MS would be so much more expensive.

At level 78 I realised the issues I had with this build, especially the clearing or self casting BV, wouldn't go away regardless of my level or how many ex I put into the build so I stopped playing and sold my gear. With a VD, a 6 link and the rest of the gear, I spend roughly 35ex and it didn't feel like I was getting that value back. It is still a very decent build and I had fun with it and I'm thankful you shared it here.
