Optimized WoE + BoR dual strike duelist [1.2.x] "Then We Doubled It"
" yeah it's crap. he's in top 100 on rampage with it. it sure is crap and im sure he has no idea what he is doing. both builds have their weaknesses and strengths. calling this one crap is stupid. just take a look at the difference in the skill tree and you can clearly see how they differ. With gear you wont need the resist nodes and u will still be able to run blood rage. I can run it on my shadow with no chaos resist nodes just based on gear(different spec) but still. Its personal preferance which build to use to be honest. But late game and with decent gear overall I think this build is slightly stronger. Not to mention you should have chaos resist flask up, not for blood rage but helps for the damage overall.

I haven't played my duelist in a few weeks as I'm playing my shatter chuck witch (currently also level 94) that I made from profits of using this low budget yet effective build. The stats in the first post are likely out of date and my duelist now has over 5.8k life and over 42k splash dps without investing more than 10 exalts into him.
I may do this exact build again for next 3-month, although I may not since WoE/BoR is very popular and will likely be more expensive next league. I like to make a cheap and effective char that can clear 78 maps and this char is perfect for that, but I'm not sure it will be very cheap next league unless you're willing to wait a couple weeks for wings to drop in price, which I'm not. |

no offense but what is the point of this build? woe+bor builds are made to be super tanky with ok dps, where you can stand there and facetank anything. the second you start dropping all the acro nodes and dont have capped block/spell block the point of woe+bor builds goes out the window, it will never be great dps since you wield axes with non quality low level supports built into the bor. if youre going to drop all the dodge nodes you might as well just dw daggers or foils with crit and a 6L chest and have waaaaaay more damage. If you want more deeps from woe+bor use cleave instead of dual strike and link prolif to herald of ash, no point in gutting the defenses trying to make a dps build out of low dps uniques.

" christ, can you display more narrow-minded idiocy? read the OP. this is a woe-bor build, not a 6L build. this is a cheap dps version of woe without sacrificing too much defense. there is no rule saying that all woe-bor builds must cap all defense stats. even zivko's mana version is not acro and sacrifices defense. |
|
" Dude, even Zivko's mana build is better defensively than this build. This build achieves a similar amount of life and somewhat more dps, but requires a higher level to do so than any variation of Zivko's build. This build only reaches completion after lvl 90, which doesn't say much for optimisation. If you're going be using the mara tree, and building offensively, its better to make a more generic bender and get rare weapons which do a lot more dps. And the cost doesn't rise too high that way either. If you are going to be building around WoE, then its foolish to skip the ranger tree. BTW, BoR isn't going to be cheap in new leagues due to rarity changes. Its already pretty expensive in rampage. For try, for see, and for know.

tried this build.. it doesnt work like intended.. OPTIMIZED a joke

" lmao, what are you talking about? both skill trees listed are around level 90. you can finish them however you want to. are people really not understanding that the defensive stats are just 3-4% lower? and yet you can get a lot more dps! zivko's stats are all standard gear while tidus was using rampage gear he found. wake up people. this is too funny. |

*Sigh*
Please understand what I'm trying to say here. My build, which is somewhat like zivko's, was finished at around level 75. After that it was just speccing into the last few nodes left. Now, at 84, my build is totally finished and I don't any more points to accomplish the goals of the build. You speak of there not being much defensive differences. Can this build run blood rage? Does it have constant maxed out life leech? No. It mainly depend on killing stuff before you get killed, which defeats the entire purpose of using defensive gear like wings of entropy and the bringer of rain. Also, the other thing I said was that this build is much more suited to using one hand rares to get more dps, which seems to be the end goal for this build. Calling this optimised over other variants is pointless as it is a completely different build with a completely different purpose. For try, for see, and for know.

" lmao. you dont need blood rage or maxed out ll when you can do MUCh more dps with shit gear. dude, the points you make have already been conceded by the OP. the build sacrifices max defense for more dps, is that that hard to get your head around? I've been running this build without blood rage and maxed out ll and I am doing GREAT and moving along quickly because I actually have dps. the dps stats in zivko's build is shit. id rather die a couple more times and run a higher risk and be able to clear maps and STILL do end game bosses than move at a snails pace to clear maps. |
