Yeah gonna try Pierce. Chain was only 12 mana since there is no multiplier for Curse on Hit its gonna be cheap no matter what. But you're right Pierce is a better idea.

" I prefer increased critical chance instead of increased critical damage on puncture trap. Maybe try switching. It feels a lot nicer when you crit more often. especially the three bosses , they run around like crazy it'll do enough damage. edit: wrong bosses but same idea. i think its just preference though. This should be Build of the Year. So many awesome synergies and thought. Kuddos to you sir. Will prolly get nerfed cause people can afford it and still do end game content but blast while it lasts.
