Also found one, DPS when I use this wand is quite close to my crit spell dagger's DPS when I'm a crit build and this wand does nothing for my crit.

Might make a dual wield build with these one day if they become cheap enough.

Fun fact: there's dual wield cast speed nodes at the top of the tree.

All this wand does is it makes me want to finally try to make self-cast Firestorm a real thing.

Given that over half the damage I do is chaos at this poiny I think fire pen would not be as useful.. But it's a good point on the faster casting. Thoughts on Faster Projectiles? Or any other damage boost? I guess added lightning would be good, and herald of ash..

Yea fire pen will only increase half of your damage, i think faster casting or added lightning would be best.

Herald of ash, unfortunately, only applies physical damage, and the fire prolif from the overkill will not be powerful with incinerate.

It's flat damage on a very fast spell... should work quite well. If the numbers are still correct on POE Wiki:

Incinerate lvl 20 68-102 dmg. (of course this will be scaled)
Herald of Ice 53-70 dmg * 0.4 (dmg effectiveness) = about 25 added...

I wonder if it's worth it to take up some mana on a MoM character, and if anger or wrath might not be better.. also I never understood the point of damage effectiveness. Why not just scale everything appropriately and do away with the effectiveness percentage? I guess I don't know how that mechanic works.

Edit: anger would probably be best because of infernal mantle, but dat mana cost..

incinerate is 30% effectiveness

also that number is even lower when you factor in that cold damage wont benefit from fire pen or flammability

For my specific case, because I do about 60% chaos damage, I don't use fire penetration and I use projectile weakness as a curse.

30% it is... my bad. Have to try how it influences the numbers...

Wrath/Anger does not work with spells... unless they changed sth. that I am unaware of.
