Does Rampage get more fun as you level up?

There are some uniques with abilities activating when on rampage. I didn't have time to see if they were any good though...

I personaly enjoy the Rampage stuff :) it just keeps me going when I am already over 30 kills, I just have to push it forward! Some of the missions are great for it (protect the holy relic - alot of monsters spawn - oh the glorious rampage kills) the effects are pretty significant when there are alot of monsters around too. I¨ve had a few "wow" moments already.
It feels great to me, no dissapointment here, I was expecting alot less from it so I got surprised I guess.

The most useful rampage bonus is the first one which stuns everything in a large AoE for a good 5 seconds. The rest is sort of lackluster, but I've only been up to about 150 so far. I was expecting rampage to be quite bad and it lived up to its expectation.

So far, Rampage basically makes no difference at all. I've got up to 100 and I still couldn't feel it. There's the occasional nova or weird summoned swords which doesn't matter and is really more of a visual nuisance than anything else, and the speed buff is so tiny (and doesn't appear to actually give attack/cast speed) that the entire mechanic feels completely pointless.

I don't even really mind that it's something that doesn't get in the way of gameplay (unlike the godawful Beyond concept) but I feel like it's such a weak mechanic that it might as well not exist. It feels like playing standard except there's some cheap firworks proc every 30 seconds. The effects of Rampage are literally unnoticeable except for the animation of the procs that happen occasionally.

Yep, I don't even try to keep mechanic going any more. Get's good and you find you are in a dead-end. Get's good and then you have to stop and pick something up. Get's good and you find you are at the end of the zone. Get's good and you find you are OOM.

Farther into the game I'm sure it will get easier to get and keep the chain alive as there will be greater monster density and resource management will be more under control, but dead ends, item pickup, and having to switch zones are always going to be there.
It's just a bit of silliness really.

The meat of this expansion obviously took most of GGG's resources, and pseudo-UT wasn't it.
And they said *I* was bad at PoE. At least I made it out of act 1 and know how to use the /dnd function. El oh fucking el.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.
I've never seen the reason for giving a bonus for people who can kill stuff quickly... I mean if they can already kill stuff quickly, why do they need the bonus?

I strongly recommend resisting leaning on the logic of that one regarding PoE in general...:)

I guess they think that quickly-er, and quickly-est are more fun.
Guess you guys forgot that mob density is much MUCH lower in normal then it is merciless? (hint: remember the changes to vaal gems soul requirements per difficulty?)

also, Look at your tooltip DPS as your kills get higher, It's not just about the fancy "tiers" of rampage. So far I noticed a 15% DPS increase at a kill streak of around ~70 (can't remember exact numbers)

Imagine your dps at a kill streak of 200+

I'm willing to believe that the majority of people who find PoE entertaining are the sorts of people to enjoy the rush of Rampage: a countdown reset by more kills. I'm surprised at how I've responded to that countdown myself. My head hates it but my heart rushes nonetheless.

Most of the time I don't even know or care what bonuses I have! :)
